You will be hard-pressed to find anyone who is trained in as many disciplines of acupuncture in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Acupuncture works cumulatively. We become ill over time, so it is unrealistic to imagine that we can undo illness or chronic pain in one or two treatments. Acupuncture works in series of treatments, it is untying the knot that has been tied over weeks and months of disease. You can never have acupuncture sessions too close together, but you can have treatments too far apart.
I was recently diagnosed with bone spurs in my right ankle. I am very active and wanted to treat my ankle pain without surgery that would have had me miss days of work. Yvonne has treated my ankle several times and I am really noticing a difference in regards to both the swelling and pain. Combining her nursing background and her commitment to the well-being of others makes her the perfect acupuncturist to aid in my pain management journey.

I have been seeing Yvonne monthly for at least 4 years. She is by far the most knowledgeable acupuncturist in Columbus. Her approach and professionalism is so inviting and reassuring. Her ability to combine eastern and western medicine to help understand how the body works is so beneficial to her patients. I always leave her appointments feeling refreshed and energized. I am so grateful I found her!

I have been going to German Village Acupuncture for about a year and it has been life changing. Yvonne Woodson is amazing and has over 30 years of experience and is a certified nurse which is important to me because acupuncture is serious process. I am an active 43 year old but I have fatigue paired with hyper active energy. I get acupuncture to balance this energy. Since going to German Village Acupuncture I have a much more consistent energy, balanced emotions, and overall I feel more content and happy. Yvonne is truly a miracle worker. I am a 25-year-old, healthy female in active treatment for breast cancer; specifically chemotherapy. I started seeing Yvonne on a weekly basis in order to help my body rebound from the affects of chemotherapy. I will continue to see her for years to come, because her gentle manner, ability to listen to my concerns, and her exceptional methods of healing have made all the difference in my day today life. Yvonne has been instrumental in relieving many of my chemo side effects. This has truly been life changing. After one appointment, I had saliva in my mouth again! Nausea is diminished, joint pain in my knees and hip are gone within hours of a treatment. Same with headaches. I can’t imagine what I would do without her!!

I wish I had known about the benefits of acupuncture last year as I went through surgery, chemo and radiation for my cancer diagnosis but I’m so thankful that I have Yvonne in my life now. I’ve been experiencing joint pain caused by a medication that I’ll have to take for many years and a multitude of side effects from menopause which is a result of the cancer. After my first treatment, I was already experiencing less joint pain, hot flashes and night sweats. I can’t wait to see the additional benefits as I continue this journey. Yvonne has helped me manage my pain tremendously during my chemotherapy treatments. I have experienced huge improvements with the neuropathy pain in my feet after acupuncture and at times I can feel relief almost immediately. Yvonne is also a wonderful person. She is very caring and extremely understanding. I ALWAYS feel better both mentally and physically after leaving my appointment! I highly recommend her.

Yvonne is magical, calming, and nurturing, and she maintains a beautiful balance of professional and cozy. I always feel at home when I come to see her! Appointments with her are a beautiful experience. I barely feel the needles when she places them, and she is attentive to make sure I'm comfortable. Yvonne is a knowledgeable and experienced professional with an incredible bedside manner, and I am on cloud 9 when I leave! I've been getting acupuncture from Yvonne for over a year now and I'm thrilled with it. Yvonne is also a registered nurse and it's wonderful to have a professional to check in with monthly. She has explained the process to me clearly and not only has it helped keep me healthy in general, it's also clued me in to keeping myself in optimal health. The result I'm most excited about is that it cured my bronchitis (something I get almost every winter) and a recent sinus infection without antibiotics. It's a great way to outsource your self-care.
