Professor Aldo "Caveirinha" De Oliveira is one of many Brazilians born into a family of modest means amidst a poor community in Rio De Janeiro Brazil. Introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 10, Professor Caveirinha soon realized that BJJ was his calling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provided Aldo with one of the few best opportunities in life.
Professor Caveirinha received his Black Belt at the age of 20 and began teaching at his own academy located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since then, he has been promoted to 4th degree Black Belt; a level reached by only a handful of Jiu Jitsu masters. Despite a very promising future in competition, Aldo chose to focus on his real passion which is teaching.

What I love most about this place is how welcoming they are to all the newcomers. During my first class, Professor Andrew took the time to make sure I had the attention that I needed to understand each technique that was taught in class. Definitely enjoyed the class!

By far the best academy I've ever been to. I have been to quite a few and though they were good, they were all missing something. Whatever those might have been missing, this academy has. There is a great curriculum that progresses through the week that really helps you learn the techniques, the training schedule is great, the mats are always clean, and everybody is helpful and friendly. Professor Andrew is knowledgeable, helpful, and overall a great instructor! He, the coaches, and the rest of the team really make you feel a sense of camaraderie. I'm definitely telling everybody I know to start

Awesome Professor!!! I was a total beginner not knowing a thing about jujitsu. Until I met the professor and the rest of the students and bonded with them pretty quickly. In less than a month I became confident and proficient in sparring with them.The professor is really passionate about teaching the students new skills. He wont advance them until the students are ready and have earned their stripes. He also teaches children and helps them learn the basics. This school is the best to learn jiujitsu if your a beginner and also if your advanced!

I’ve been training here since January and I couldn’t be happier with my experience at this academy.
Professor Andrew is very knowledgeable and takes the time to teach in a patient and proper manner. The academy has a great team atmosphere and everyone helps each other out. There are no big egos training here, which I really like, because I cannot afford to get injured by someone trying to show off their newest submission.
Coach Roman is great as well, he rolls at my pace and pushes me to be better.

It's a great place for a beginner to start learning jit jitsu. The instructors are very helpful and willing to work with you. I tried my first class and they were very welcoming and helpful. I'l be back again soon to learn more when I'm visiting from out of town. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to try out jit jitsu.

Hands down great first experience with a Jiu Jitsu studio. My son is 7 years old. He's not only extremely engaged with every session but he's been having a great time.
The owners are very easy to communicate with and has always felt like a very family oriented place.
Highly recommended for parents to take their kids to.

I train at another school about an hour away but I was in town and dropped by the school. The academy itself is a good size and has some nice mat space, and is very clean. I arrived early enough to see the kids classes before I trained. The professor was very knowledgable and good with the kids. When adult classes started i felt completely welcomed and the Black belt was very detailed in his teaching which was a huge plus for me. I will definitely be back for some rolls and recommend anyone in the area to give them a try.

I have been training here for about a month and I have to say it has been one of the best decisions I've made in a while. The academy is well kept, it has plenty of space to get training in and the atmosphere is very welcoming! Everyone at the academy is willing to help each other learn and work towards the goal of getting better. The Instructor is very knowledgeable in the art of Jiu Jitsu. For whatever you're reasons are, if you're looking to loose weight, learn self defense, or just have a great workout out, this is the place to do it. My overall experience at this school has been awesome, especially with the Kids/Juniors Class! The Professor here is kind and encouraging with the Kids and is always willing to help his students and makes sure they understand all the techniques that are taught. If you want your kids to learn self defense, build confidence, have a great workout and have fun while doing so, I highly recommend this Jiu Jitsu school!
