Services
Lea enjoyed spending time on the beach and spending quality time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband, Sam Staton of Sellersburg, Indiana, her sons, Christopher Marini (Candise) of Lanesville, Indiana, John Marini of Sellersburg, Joseph Marini of Pekin, Indiana, Cody Staton of New.
The Garr Funeral Home Pre-Arrangement Program was founded to answer the special needs of the families we serve: the funding of a Pre-Arranged Funeral. A Pre-Arrangement is the last expression of caring and love that you could give your family -- and one they will always remember.

The selection of services and merchandise are made by you, expressing your own wishes, not by family members who are faced with the burden of dealing with a Funeral during a time of grief.Plans can be made to eliminate any financial problems for the surviving family members, giving you dignity and peace of mind.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

This is the second time I have attended a Funeral at this funeral home. I have to say this place is very clean, people are so caring and understanding. The funeral director named Stacey was willing to help in any kind of way and to make sure every need was taking care of. Without a doubt this is where all my love ones will be taken to.

We recently had my sisters funeral services at Garr in Sellersburg Indiana and I honestly cannot praise this place enough. They are filled with so much compassion and went above and beyond for my family. Two specific persons who I dealt with personally were Stacey and Alan. Stacey walked me through every step and process we had to take to get the funeral planned and ready. He sat and talked with me for hours and made sure everything was perfect and exactly how I wanted it to be for my sister. He even let me come in and have one last “sister” day with her so I could fix her hair and paint her

We went through a traumatic 3 weeks and this place was the best I could have ever asked for. My mother and father both passed away, my mother after a long illness (and the person that prepared her for viewing, I believe his name was Stacey, made her look at least 10 years younger and if she had never been sick) and then 23 days later my father unexpectedly passed away. They made the whole process as easy as possible and my family appreciates that immensely.

Ordered a specific colored casket and on the day of the funeral service we arrive to see our dear family member in the casket color we specifically said we did not want. Went back to speak to someone about this mistake and they claim we chose that color. 6 of us were in the room and we all know which casket we chose. Very disappointed in this awful service especially at a time of grieving, shame on you all.

Cannot reach anyone unless you die. This funeral home is in charge of Sellersburg Cemetery and has a sign posted with the wrong number. Funeral director promised to update the number and hasn't. They only return phone calls if you pass away. It's as if they want to hide the fact they're in charge of Sellerburg Cemetery. If you want to locate a grave, first you have to find out Garr Funeral Home is in charge. Then call the wrong number listed on the only sign. Finally, you'll get an answering service and it takes several attempts to get a return call. Unless you die.
