In 1906, a 20 year old young man named James H. Lewis, Sr., began work at the undertaking company and then attended the Eckles School of Embalming and received his Missouri embalmer license, number 169.

Staff members of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Willie was born and raised in Marshall and is a 1994 graduate of Marshall High School.
Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home of Marshall has been in the same location since 1948. A simple two story home was purchased and converted into a funeral home. Since 1948 the building and property have undergone numerous additions to help accomodate the needs of each family. Some of the remodeling and additions provided additional chapels, visitation areas, offices, parking space, along with maintaining an updated and home like atmosphere.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
