SM Realty Advisors is a boutique real estate investment banking company with offices in Los Angeles, California and Scottsdale, Arizona. The firm is a broad based, multi-dimensional investment banking firm. Real Estate Finance - we are expert at arranging and structuring debt, mezzanine, or equity capital for our clients.
We arrange debt and equity financing, both at the real property and the entity level. We particularly have expertise with complex financing assignments which require more 'structuring' and a more creative 'out-of-the-box' solution. We generally focus on real estate projects that have a capitalization greater than $10 million, with no upper limits.
Because we are actively involved in the real estate financing market every day addressing our clients' needs, we probably have experience with a property or loan very similar to your own. We have experienced numerous economic expansionary and recessionary cycles and gained a keen understanding of the impact these cycles have on the capital markets and on valuations.
SM Realty Advisors was founded in 2001 when Barry Simson and Philip Benditson left their independent firms to join their practices. We established a firm that emphasized our skills and abilities to be nimble, efficient, and creative. We are devoted to very high ethical standards and client advocacy.
Structured construction loan (92% to total cost) for luxury condominium project on landmark golf course. Structured acquisition & bridge loan (85% of purchase price), for a landmark 715,000 SF high-rise office building. Represented buyer in the acquisition of a Class A, on-campus student housing project nearing construction completion.
