Artex Flooring

Long overdue review to express my gratitude towards Art and his team for my So. SF property's flooring project plus additional improvement works that Art helped me to resolve while I was trying to manage it from overseas due to the pandemic situation. Art was great with his responsiveness and honest approach, the work done was also in high quality. All in all very pleased to have selected Artex to help with the improvement project and won't hesitate to contact Art again in the future.

Art and his team were wonderful to work with. They were always on time, great communicators and most importantly their work quality was really great. We had a difficult two room job in Lafayette with a unique marble fireplace on a tight timeframe that his team did an amazing job on.

Odd. he was 10 mins late to the estimate appt. no pad, no card, no tape measure, no pen. he looked at the job, described it with complications no other business described, we had 4 other estimates in two day period, and said he could streamline the difficult, multi faceted, hard to do process. I had to ask twice for the cost, which was 2.85% higher than my most expensive bid of 4..... wow. just wow. I'm super surprised. My in-laws house burned down in an electrical fire. The whole house had to be rebuilt. We were on a tight budget and wanted a durable product with a high end look. Art guided us to a few flooring lines that fit our parameters. We chose Monarch Planks Windsor Collection of engineered hardwood and we are thrilled with the end results. Art's installation crew did a wonderful job.

Art and his team just finished flooring the entirety of our 3 floor Victorian house in Bernal, and he did a fantastic job! It also involved a bunch of unexpected leveling work, corking, and replacing damaged subfloors - at every turn Art and his team were informative, honest, helpful and supportive. Art was quick to come out to give a quote, and was personable, informative and honest. I did not use him for my project since he is on the higher end and the current project is for a rental, but as I said to him - when we are ready to move back into the condo ourselves, I will! Artex flooring just did an amazing job in my old Edwardian apartment. Living room, corridor and stairs look incredible. Art was very responsive and accommodating. Viktor worked very hard all through the week end to finish the job on time. Very professional and clean. I have already scheduled work with them to redo the bedrooms floor as well.

Art did the flooring in my 1000 sq ft shop in downtown Oakland. It was a tricky job because there was some existing unfinished flooring that he needed to blend in. I also was in a rush to open my doors and he did a fantastic job with short notice and the quality of work is impeccable. (If you see the flooring around the pipes in my spaces, it's a thing of artistry).

Art installed new floors throughout our Victorian flat and we couldn't be happier. Art is honest, knowledgeable, well organized, and very friendly. He is hands down the best contractor we have ever worked with. Period. He truly sets a high bar.

We initially contacted Art after reading some glowing reviews on yelp (of course). He offered to set an appointment to meet us at his showroom. He was flexible on the day/time to accommodate our schedule.

We recently moved into a Potrero Hill condo with the worst flooring one could imagine. The floor was incredibly uneven and warped. Basically, a disaster. Art installed bamboo flooring for us and it is beautiful! Our condo looks incredible now. Art managed to level the floor and transform our space. He and his guys did a great job. Art replaced carpet with hardwood for me in two rooms in mid 2014. Overall he did an excellent job.

I had concerns about sound and Art was extremely knowledgeable and gave me consistent good advice (which I could verify online) on how to reduce impact sounds transmitted by hardwood to my downstairs neighbor.

We just had Artex install a cork floor in our loft, and they did a great job. Levon was the lead guy; he and his team were friendly, skilled, conscientious and flexible to work with. They finished the job ahead of schedule, and for a little less $ than another installer had estimated.

They seemed knowledgable about installing cork, and I assume they are equally capable with other types of floors.

I'd happily recommend them to anyone.
