Services
Zheng Asian Bistro is a locally owned and operated restaurant and has been serving the Roaring Fork Valley since 2002. Ming Xing Zheng, head chef and owner and former partner Mike Mercatoris opened the first Zheng in 2002 to the delight of the mid-valley, which was sorely lacking in Asian cuisine. In 2006, we relocated to our current location in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, thriving in this Mountain Community since then!
Zheng was built around being accommodating. Our menus have been developed using the highest quality ingredients and unique flavors from all over Asia. With the ever-growing demand for gluten free and vegan options we have created separate menus for our customers with these dietary needs. Each dish is made per order allowing our chefs great flexibility to add or take away ingredients to accommodate customers' needs and desires.
All vegan dishes are prepared with the utmost care to not come in contact with animal products. Therefore, it may take extra time to prepare dishes on this menu. We appreciate your patience. The service was great so it really pains me to say that everything I ordered was terrible. The hot n sour soup, egg roll, the pad Thai was awful. It was a dark orange color, so overly sauced it was way too sweet. If it had not been for being so hungry I'd sent it back. Plus it's a holiday, just wanna be nice. But it just was not good.

Ordered food to go and they came out pretty fast.
Pan seared tuna is spot on and our favorite. Definitely cooked to perfection.
Chinese style bbq stuck is okay. Slices are too thick and not seasoned well. It came with pancakes (burrito wraps), cucumber and spring onions.
Mu shi pork also comes with burrito wraps. Portion is good, a little too salty to my taste. Fried rice is okay.

Restaurant is a cute little spot in a convenient location. Took my niece here who had been wanting to try "sushi". They were really nice and made a roll specifically how she wanted it, mostly vegetables lol. They did bring complimentary edamame which was nice, but they were ice cold. I've typically always had it warmed so they were a little hard. We split some lo mein and each had some sushi rolls. Overall a good experience

My husband asked if I wanted to go out for Nepalese. It was raining and the warming spices sounded good. But it is closed on Wednesdays. We walked across the street, but the 'Italian' place is basically a pizza bar, so we walked over to Zheng. Why not?
The 2 stars are for the EXCELLENT SERVICE and ATTENTIVE, HELPFUL STAFF.
The FOOD was DISAPPOINTING.
The only thing good to say about the tea is that it was warm. It was cold outside, and freezing inside, so I said yes to more, even though it made me cough and tasted like dirty water.
The coconut shrimp appetizers tasted like dessert

Great little place awesome atmosphere outstanding service the food was phenomenal fresh and delicious I got the ahi poke bowl the the seasoning was just right it didn't overwhelm the fish nor the fresh vegetables yet very tasty the blackened ahi was perfectly done and the blackened seasoning was outstanding will eat here again

We had an overall average experience. We waited a long time and had to ask a wait staff to take our order. Once we got their attention, the service went pretty good from there. The dishes came in pretty good size but taste was only average. I would say you could share a dish and still get very full.

The food here is amazing. Fusion Asian we had the pork wonton that paired great with spicy sriracha salsa and guacamole. Volcano shrimp for entree was also so good. Great service just be sure to make yourself clear on your order. We wanted 'thin noodles and ended up with udon on my fiancee's entree. Deep fried cheesecake with ice cream for dessert was decadent and delicious.

We went there around 8:30 pm to order carry out and after few minutes of wait the server said the kitchen decided not to accept any more orders. I am glad they did not take our order. We got our food from Ming's Cafe in downtown and the food was amazing. One of the best Chinese i ever tried. If you are looking for good Chinese food in this area, I would suggest trying Mings Cafe.

We have been to Zheng a few times and had really incredible food and service. Everyone was patient and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing. The food was delIcious and did not take long at all! Recently, Zheng made it really easy on us to have contactless pay and curbside pick up for COVID19. We are really grateful for their accommodation and professionalism during this time!

We were tired and got takeout. I was impressed at how they packed it. They placed a piece of cardboard between the warm and cold food. The summers rolls were tasty. The hot mustard is so so good. It will definitely light up your tastebuds. The Zheng Pad Thai was not for me, I prefer the traditional version. The fried rice was great and the chicken teriyaki was great. Sushi was good. If you're craving Asian food then this is a great place to go.

Ok so this spot is pretty nice. It's in a nice shopping/living area that's pretty new. The atmosphere is really nice in the inside. Great place for a date. The food is okay. I was really looking for some amazing flavor that our food didn't have. The rangoons were cooked a bit to long but the siracha beef was decent, spicy. I'd come back to try a different item.

There are not that many Asian restaurants in the area, and Zheng Asian Bistro is a good spot for Asian food. The menu is divided between Chinese food, Thai food, and sushi. The food is reasonably priced and is affordable.
My boyfriend and I came for dinner one night, and we shared the atomic shrimp, no name roll, salmon roll, and pad thai. The atomic shrimp - tempura shrimp in a teriyaki and aioli sauce - was super tasty. The sushi was fresh and tasted okay. The pad thai was okay as well. The service was slow but passable.

Done to perfection ! My friend had volcano shrimp w/ brocolli . Nice presentation and tastes great. Although I was told shrimp not so volcanic. They were done perfect but not that spicy. For me ( a medium spice girl )

The food here was good, the only downside for me was that it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be and not much flavor. It tasted better after I added garlic chili and soy sauce to it. We ordered the Singapore noodles, Thai fried rice, Rocky Mountain roll, and crab rangoon. The service was exceptional!
