Extremely disappointed with our experience at Tempranillo. Even though we were welcomed nicely by a younger hostess, our dinner wasn’t very pleasant to say the least. The service by an older waitress was just enough not to be rude. Luckily the waiter was nicer to deal with. The food was definitely not what we were expecting after reading the reviews: overcooked and barely warm veal Marsala, undercooked paella so you would feel the floury taste of the rice, no more bolognese pasta, extra cost to split our plate and 20% compulsory tip for a party of 5 (including one kid). This restaurant seems

We come to visit family in Carbondale from LA a few times a year and every single time since our initial experience we MUST go to Tempranillo!!! Extremely tasty tapas that remind us of our trip to Barcelona. I mean to put it simply, it’s delicious and never disappointing!! The Gambas Barcelona, mussels, clams, shrimp—— YUM!! I can’t wait until our next visit.😋😋😋
**during the time of covid they can be understaffed however that can be any restaurant in any city at this point in time, and hasn’t had much of an impact on my experiences here**

We were assured when making our reservation that staff wore masks and that there was social distancing in place. In addition, they offered the heated patio as another option. Upon arrival we were offered a 2 top (1 of 2) that was barely large enough for dinner plates and within a couple if feet of tables on both sides. We were told the patio area wasn't open. We really wanted a better option, and asked nicely for something different. Manager said it's one of those 2 tables and that's it. It was 5:30 and the restaurant was empty. A kind staff member found us a better 2 top in the bar which we took

The star is for how the place looked, kind of cute even though they sat us in the patio. Not the best service let's just say that. A lot of forgetting and long wait on food. Once we got the food it was pretty much cold nothing was hot but the soup, the server gave us complimentary pan so she knew it was cold when serving. You can tell food was reheated based of how hot the plate was & the food still partially cold. Food simply overpriced for the taste & service. They added an additional $130 for "kitchen fee" after giving us the ticket & us paying (again food was horrible) we left a cash tip &

I was not overly impressed. The food was okay and not what you expect for the price. I had the cappellini shrimp ad arugula, the pasta was overcooked and mushy. For a $28 plate of pasta perfectly cooked pasta is expected. I do know that I rarely find cappellinj on a menu and maybe its so thin its hard to prepare. We had the house appetizer shrimp, mushrooms, arugula and a balsamic reduction that was divine and my husband was happy with his meal. We may go back but not regularly.

Among the most beautiful and inviting outdoor dining areas I've seen, and the food more than lives up to the setting. I didn't want to stop eating, or drinking, since their Spanish wine list is impressively deep. The piquillos and mussels I'll be thinking about for a long time.

My husband and I had dinner at Tempranillo during a recent visit to the Carbondale/Basalt area. We can’t recommend it highly enough! We sat outside at one of the very comfortable lounge/cocktail areas. My husband is Cuban and his grandparents are Spanish, so he is familiar with Spanish food. We ordered the Tempranillo salad, the garlic shrimp and the Paella. It was all delicious! Plus the wine choices are fantastic. The service was terrific, even during these difficult COVID times. You need to try this place!

This restaurant is good, but not great. Nothing memorable. The food is okay, the patio is lovely. The service could be better. Overall an enjoyable experience eating dinner outdoors with friends. I would think twice about returning.

The food was fantastic at this restaurant. They did an amazing job with the tuna appetizer that was a special, and those sauces and dishes were really well-thought-out and good. That said, when all of the waiters are walking around with their masks blow their nose and several of them were walking around with the masks hanging from one ear it leaves a little bit to be desired food safety wise. The bartender also had her mask worn only hanging down on one ear instead of actually across her face for more than an hour, and the owner of the restaurant was sitting next to us chatting with a table while

Food is fair, not great for the extreme prices. Far from authentic Spanish food. Service feels unwelcoming , not the same for everyone...the waiters ignored us all the time and were not family friendly. They make you feel bad instead of served. COVID-unaware place.this guy put us the pepper directly from the other table, with grade included upon. Don’t go if you are looking for a friendly or familiar environment!
