The A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, (a three generation family owned funeral home) was established in 1898 by A.J. Cunningham. He purchased two horse drawn hearses and an open wagon from Elmer Hunt (the local undertaker) and began his funeral home. He had attended the Massachusetts College of Embalming and qualified himself for Embalming and Preserving the Dead.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the New York State Department of Health both require that certain disclosures be made by funeral providers on the General Price List. Although these disclosures are similar, they are not exactly the same. This General Price List contains both sets of the required disclosures.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).

Thank God for Scott and Emily. So professional and compassionate. Treated us so caring and like family. Mom passed away out of state and Scott handled everything to get her home to her final resting place with her husband. Not enough words to express our gratitude during such a trying and most difficult time. Forever grateful.
