Services
The Levine Memorial Chapel was founded in 1952 by Robert M. Levine. The Chapel was first located on lower Madison Avenue in Albany, NY, and was later moved to Delaware Avenue. In 1969, Levine Memorial Chapel relocated to a larger facility on Washington Avenue in Albany, NY. Prior to establishing the Levine Memorial Chapel, Bob was a licensed funeral director employed by the Riverside Memorial Chapel in Manhattan for twelve years.
At Levine Memorial Chapel, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
Let's be honest here; the degree to which your grief dis-empowers you, as well as the amount of flotsam and jetsam (let's just call it "paperwork") you will have to deal with both depend on the relationship you shared with the deceased.
If you are the surviving spouse, a daughter or son, or have been declared as the designated executor, the responsibilities you have over the death paperwork will be much more extensive than if you were merely a loving niece, nephew or friend. Before you do anything, get a notebook. You'll want to record the date and time of every phone conversation, email or postal communication; if you did it, write it down.

Pre-planning has become an important part of estate planning, and is a means of sparing the emotional stress of making decisions during a difficult time. By pre-planning funeral arrangements, any doubts of your loved one's wishes are eliminated. It also gives your loved ones peace of mind knowing that they have spared you the additional stress of worrying about funeral expenses.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

Expert in all areas of their profession.
Warm, accomodating, and trustworthy.
I officiate many funerals and memorial services, so this evaluation is based on decades of professional experience and observation.
(I was also Mark Levine's day camp counselor in the late 60's early 70's, so I have a very clear long term experience of his honesty and integrity.)
