I've always felt lucky to find Dr. Cooks practice as they are so conscientious, kind, and knowledgeable. Now having been back after their closing down for the Covid-19 restrictions, I am feeling even more fortunate! They follow the CDC guidelines to the letter, and I felt very safe during my visit. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

For 29 years, I have received highly competent treatment from Dr. Cook. The traits of professionalism and courtesy apply to his whole staff. The latest example of competency is the regimen required by Covid 19. Detailed compliance with requirements, yet the quality of the treatment didn't miss a beat.

I came across Dr Cook's practice by chance. My son had a dental emergency at 5pm. His regular dentist couldn't care less because it was quitting time. It just happened that he was off the next day, so in his books, my son's emergency could wait till for two days. So I started to call all the dentists in town and Dr Cook's receptionist picked up. She informed Dr Cook of the emergency and Dr Cook agreed to stay and wait for us, no appointment, no question asked, purely based on word of mouth. We showed up, Dr Cook examined my son, and the emergency turned out to be a first time

My family and I have been going to Philip Cook DDS for years and I've recommended this practice to a number of friends. Everyone who works here is friendly, attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I especially appreciate the fact that the Cook and Cook treats my whole family so my kids don't have to go to a different practice. My teenagers truly don't dread going to the dentist!

AWESOME!! Dr. Cook Sr. has been our family dentist for 30 years. We are moving in 2 days and upon my last visit his son, Dr. Cook Jr. saw that I needed my filling replaced and he and Kim in record time replaced it so I didn't need to come back before moving (Thank You Kim for making that happen!!). Highly recommend this practice to anyone moving to the Wilmette area!!!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Cook since 1978, when he attended me after an accident, and we have always been pleased. Kind members of his team welcome us and clean teeth, but Dr. Cook himself is the main draw, with his artist’s sensibility and great skill to fix whatever needs fixing with as little pain for the patient as possible. He is also considerate of the patient’s pocketbook where he can be, working to save teeth rather than replace them wherever possible: An outstanding dentist with a strong cast of supportive assistants.

My crown fell off the day before my vacation. The front desk scheduled me to see Dr. Cook right away. But I found him to be very rude. He yanked my check really hard to make me turn toward him. Even his nurse told him to take it easy. I do not recommend him at all. I was thinking how rude he was during my vacation and had to come back and tell others.

I had the unfortunate experience of making an appointment here. I called to find out if this dentist was in my network and the receptionist, Kim, simply told me "We accept every insurance". After getting my cleaning done, I turned around to leave because I knew my insurance fully covers two cleaning and dental examinations but Kim told me I had to pay the full price for the service because in Illinois Delta Dental does not pay the dentist, they reimburse patients instead.

I feel compelled to write a review for my awesome experience at this dentist. Having just moved to the area 3 weeks ago from the city, I obviously don't have doctors/dentist lined up. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and the last thing I needed was a dental emergency. My crown fell off. I called the office first thing this morning and they were able to schedule me this afternoon. I was in & out in fifteen minutes, with my crown reattached and no pain. The entire staff was extremely nice and compassionate towards my situation. I think I have found a new dentist and couldn't be happier!

Let's talk technology. I know of no dentist office that has the ability (and the machine) to remove and replace a tooth on the same visit. Dr. Cook first took 3-D images of a cracked molar, then he drilled and ground until hardly anything was left. He then use some sort of a computer-driven milling machine to literally create a new tooth out of some kind of ceramic block. It looked and felt just like the one he removed. Within the hour I had a totally new tooth, no pain, no waiting, no second appointment. Going to the Dentist is seldom fun, but getting a total replacement done in one
