Soon thereafter Mr. Kelly sold the store to Gatewood Newberry, a local investor and businessman. In 1950 Gatewood sold the store to his younger brother Jack (J.D.) Newberry, who lived on Cherry Lane with his wife, Helen, and two children Brian and Neal. J.D. raised his family in Tarrytown, eventually moving to Mountain Laurel Lane to a development his uncle William Gatewood had established.
J.D. and Helen had two more children - Keith and Sharon - and continued running the store until 1973. That year, JD and Helen's eldest son Brian and wife Judy purchased the store. Brian had graduated from The University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1968 and spent 5 years gaining experience in chain stores and hospital pharmacies in Austin and Dallas.

This place is price gouging on COVID tests and masks in a magnificent fashion - if you don’t mind, hurry over bc the Exposition location & staff are lovely.
The COVID test they sell for 22 is a $10. retail item and can be readily found at other stores - I got them at Costco for 8. a piece.
And ten kn95 masks w/no identifying #s for $30. a package. Over a 100% markup doesn’t account for supply chain difficulty w/ these items & its disappointing to see health related co. take advantage of public during a pandemic. Shop around if you can.

My 2 kiddos were heading out of the country and needed a COVID test for travel. The trip was canceled, so we canceled the appointments 3 days in advance of the appointments. We were hit with a $100 fee for canceling. We believed we were freeing up testing space for others that needed testing worse than we did, especially in light of the testing shortage going on right now. Instead, we were told that there is $100 worth of "paperwork" that will need to be done to cancel - no budging. Given the testing shortage, they could have easily back-filled our appointments and made an easy $100 off of us.

PREDATORY PRICING! Needed some C-19 Rapid Tests for a trip. CDC recommends doing tests twice for reliable results. Price for 2 tests $44. This is double other sources. KUT reports typical pricing is $20 to $24 per 2 tests. Amazon has it for $20 per 2. Unfortunately I could only find them in stock at Tarrytown.
I bought 2 at Tarrytown and ordered 10 on Amazon for 2 week delivery.
So, two stars for having stock.

$22.50 per single flowflex covid-19 rapid test. CVS, Walgreens, etc all selling for $10. You guys were selling 10 tests to each person while I was in there and the line was about 30 people purchasing in front of me, with a parking lot full of frenzied drivers pulling in. I assume you were doing at least 200 similar transactions today. Profit? Probably about $30k. Gouge profit? $15-17k. An employee told me the tests were 35% more expensive, which doesn’t account for more than doubling the price, but was a decent excuse... except for the fact that none of the major retailers are increasing the

AVOID THIS PHARMACY! Aside from the VERY long waits, communication with customers is trash. I sent my prescription here and the first time I went to get it they gave me a $15 copay and they didn’t bother to ask me for my insurance. When I mentioned they probably don’t have it, they changed the copay on my prescription. This time, it was $25! How?! This medicine is ALWAYS free for me for the last 5+ years. The pharmacist took it back again and changed the copay time $0. Ok. Next month comes and I call in my prescription around 10am. Get there around 6pm - of course it’s not ready. I wait about

I highly recommend Tarrytown rapid testing. They really care & want to help people, I’m so grateful! I called them after I tested with CVS & explained that my test @ CVS was totally screwed up & I was traveling next day. It was almost closing time & Sydney & staff waited for my arrival & immediately took care of me! What took all day @ CVS took less than 1 hour @ Tarrytown! Thank you Sydney & all for your great wonderful support & service!!

Great experience.
Once I arrived at the designated parking area, I called the number posted at parking space to check in. Staff personnel immediately verified my identity and thoroughly explained the testing procedures and text notification. I received results within the hour.
The notification also provides a link to a PDF with payment information and testing results. I’ll come here again for Rapid Covid Testing (Antigen).
