I was born a third-generation craftsman and was raised here on the Central Coast. Painting is a profession I chose. I started painting houses here on the Central Coast with my father when I was 10 years old (it was a good way for my mom to get me out of the house during the summer). I painted all through school and I'm currently in the field working along side my team every day.

Tolbert Painting crafting living experiences on the central coast of California for 15 years. Only the most experienced paint staff will be assigned to your interior project.
All measures will be taken to protect the interior of your home during the process of your paint project, including wall hangings, furniture, decorative items, interior plants, floors, counter tops, light fixtures, sinks, tubs and faucets, and any areas not being painted at this time.All the necessary preparations will be made to ensure proper adhesion of applicable products and to promote longevity.

We have worked with Joel in the past and he did a good job. This time, however, we were really disappointed. He painted the place and we paid him right away, per his request. We then noticed that there was a cabinet that he forgot to paint. We reached out to him with multiple emails, texts, and phone calls over the course of a couple of weeks and he never even gave us the courtesy of a response.

Very disappointed in service and outcome. I hired them to repaint 4 month old kitchen cabinets. They set up thin plastic barrier to confine paint spray. Plastic had lags up near ceiling and, right after they left one day, after spraying, one pole fell over pulling plastic down and I had overspray and dust everywhere. It took me hours to clean once they finished. They tracked white paint on my dark floors. Their ladder banged into my Expresso island, chipping the wood and stain. Joel brought stain and touched it up, ended up dropping the stain container onto my floor. Luckily my floor is dark

Tolbert Painting is top notch. We recently hired them to paint the exterior of our home, our balcony coating and all wrought iron railings. They do quality work with an attention to detail. Their prep work to ensure a finished product that was beautiful was thorough and professional. Joel and his crew do an excellent job. They take their time and do not rush to get the job done and move on to the next one. They are courteous and clean up every day. I got three quotes and they were in the same price range as the other two. They were able to do a good job on areas that needed patching. Good paint, good service and a good price.

Joel is incredible! My in-laws gave my husband and I their old kitchen table that did not match anything in our house. I didn't really want to keep the table, until I learned that Tolbert Painting not only does painting, but Joel and his team are talented at refinishing and staining older furniture and making it look new. We asked him what he could do with this table, and for a fraction of the cost, he refinished it. He went through our house, took samples of the wood colors of our favorite furniture and blended it into a custom stain for our table. Within a week he was done, and we have

We're in the midst of a home remodel (ongoing), and have hired Tolbert painting for various aspects of it. We've had three bedrooms done as well as baseboards and trim. He's professional, quick, and really knowledgeable -- he always knows exactly what to recommend and has done an amazing job fixing problems left behind by other contractors.
