I have loved being a mother and I wish I could remember every moment. When I look through photo albums, so many of those moments come back to me like they were yesterday. This is why I love photography. When I was an obstetrical nurse, I loved looking at the photos taken by the hospital photographer (those typical incubator mug shots) and I would tell my co-workers that someday I would be living my dream job photographing newborns.
The safety and comfort of my clients are just as important, if not more important, than the images I create. I rely on my knowledge and skills as a former obstetrical nurse, my training as a newborn photographer, and my commitment to on-going safety education to make this a priority. I cannot pass an antique store or craft market with stopping and adding another unique item to use in styling my newborn or child sessions.
The full newborn session can include 3 to 4 set-ups using the beanbag and/or props, images with parents and newborn, each individual parent with newborn, sibling(s) with newborn, and the entire family. The number of set-ups, type of props used and the total number of images from the session is dependent upon the cooperation of the baby and/or siblings.
Julia is AMAZING! Being a first-time mom, I knew I wanted newborn pictures and something that I thought would be a hectic process, but it was the easiest and rewarding experience! I can't rave enough how amazing Julia is and she will forever have our repeat business for upcoming events and milestones.

Julia Pollex did a phenomenal job on our sons newborn photos! We trusted her to cature those priceless moments and she did not disappoint! She was so kind and patient with him and worked endlessly to get him in the perfect positions. These are memories we are able to cherish forever and we are so grateful for Julia's natural talent in photography! We can not wait for his six month shoot and then his one year! We will be using Julia for years to come to document our family's growth, we wouldn't trust anyone else!

We have had such a wonderful experience with Julia Pollex. For the past 6 months, Julia has photographed our little girl and each session I am completely blown away by the incredible photos she is able to capture. Not only has she been able to capture my little one's smile, she has captured her personality in each shot. Through the camera angles and props, Julia has been able to capture a small piece of our family through her photos.
