Wife, Mother, Child of God.and a Photographer. I am a wedding and portrait photographer who longs to capture each individual in their most natural state. Many people tell me that I am a 'people person', and with this comes an admiration for those I meet. My love for photography began as a teenager, always snapping photos of friends and family.

Light and airy or cityscape urban - each setting looks amazing in portraits and it's a good idea to have your outfits reflect that! 2. Coordinate, don't be too matchy-matchy.
Contact me while you're still expecting! We can use your due date to tentatively schedule a Newborn Portrait Session in the Studio just about a week from your due date.and can totally adjust it if need be. Because I'm also a wedding and event photographer, I usually schedule these sessions during the week either in the morning or afternoon/evening.
Large or small. From a family of 2 to a family of 52. No matter the size, we can set up the perfect session to capture those you love! We will discuss session details from choosing a session date & time to determining the perfect location with scenery to fit your family's interests! Melissa is SO GOOD at what she does! She is a fantastic photographer and such a lovely person to work with! She goes the extra mile in her sessions to make sure all of the shots are what you want, and she is so creative when getting additional shots. We have loved working with her on multiple shoots, including our engagements photos, that were so perfect! Always easy to get in contact with, and she is so nice! 10/10 would recommend!

I wish there were 10 stars because 5 is just not enough! It's been a real joy to work with Melissa Cockman Photography over the years. I love how Melissa connects with her clients on a personal level and really brings out each person's personality. I have never felt intimidated or rushed during a session because Melissa always makes me feel at ease. And the images she captures, well they can be described in one word...Wow! Great experience with Melissa! Melissa was so easy to work with and plan our newborn photoshoot. She has great ideas and her studio is filled with props, headbands, clothing, and everything you can think of. She allowed us to do as many different set ups as we wanted. Her prices are very reasonable and gave us so many prints. We will definitely be using her to capture our baby girls milestones in the future. Her work is so beautiful and if your in search of a family photographer, look no further!

Melissa Has an excellent eye for photography! I brought her my vision and she brought it to life! She is affordable (honestly you get what you pay for and I’m so happy to say she is worth EVERY penny!) and really good at what she does!
You get digital files of your pictures and they are yours forever!
I didn’t find her in time for my toddlers newborn pictures but used her for my new littles and I’m so happy I did!

A friend had used Melissa’s newborn services and I was so impressed. I contacted Melissa. She got back to us immediately. She is literally a baby whisperer! My grandson was 5 days old.
