Taekwondo () is a Korean martial art and the national sport of South Korea. It combines combat techniques, self-defense, sport, exercise, and in some cases meditation and philosophy. Physically, Taekwondo develops strength, speed, balance, flexibility, and stamina. Although the benefits of Taekwondo are well known, it takes finding the right Master and the right environment to achieve your goals.
My name is Il Hwan Ji, Master of Taekwondo. I always do my best no matter the challenges I face and have no fear of failure. I grew up in a very tight-knit family. Since I moved to the United States from Korea in 2008, they have supported and encouraged me to fulfill my dreams. It's been hard not being able to see them and only talk by phone.
Step One: Find you age class below. Come and watch the class to learn more about it, meet the staff, and set an appointment for your introductory class. Step Two: Take an actual group class to find out if Taekwondo is something you want to learn. If wanting to continue, talk to Master Ji about how to sign-up for school classes.
Master Ji trains students to compete in Taekwondo tournaments for Sparring, Demo/Board Breaking, and Poomsae. Each G Force team trains throughout the week to advance their physical and mental skills in preparation for local, National, and International events. These are are special teams with additional rules that team members have to follow.
There is nothing more rewarding than helping your community, keeping youth involved in positive character-building activities, and supporting their dreams for the future as they work hard to achieve their daily, monthly, and yearly goals. Master Ji's Competitive Olympic Sparring team is supported by the GForce Taekwondo Athletes Association (GTAA) 501(c)(3) non-profit.

We signed our 3 sons (ages 6, 10 and 11) up for the class in March 2021 and they have been attending regularly ever since. They love it so much! Master Ji takes the time to connect with the students and encourage good behavior and the importance of responsibility at home. There are so many classes and opportunities for the kids to go as fast or slow as they are comfortable with. We are a multiple sport family and we never thought our kids would enjoy this as much as they do but the level of discipline that Master Ji requires has helped them so much outside of Taekwondo. Highly recommend this gym

I cannot take Master Ji enough.
Our boy moved from Jiu Jitsu to Taekwondo after we were referred to Master Ji by dear friends.
Attending Master Ji and just being around him is all about respect and having fun. My boy has been inspired to grow and treat others with respect.
We consider Master Ji to be the perfect fit for families looking value-centered & based training for children. His teachings reinforce what we encourage at home and having back up is key for us.

Master Ji is one of the most hardworking and generous people I have ever known. I consider myself to be immensely fortunate in having found this gym as it played an incredible role in my growth as both an athlete and a person. It was because of Master Ji's knowledge and skill of coaching that I was able to compete at a national and international level. I recommend this gym to anyone of any age because you will reach both your physical and personal goals here.

A family experience. My husband and 2 children have attended Master Ji’s School of Taekwondo a year and a half. I love how he pushes them to do their best. He does it in such a respectful way that the kids respond to him, want to do better. They have been moving quickly through belts and he has jumped through every hoop to keep the Dojo open with every restriction mandate in place putting the student’s safety first! I’m so proud to be part of this family.

My son and I both joined Master Ji’s Taekwondo. My son has gained confidence and is becoming more and more coordinated with each class. Master Ji does an amazing job with continuing to help each individual improve physically and mentally by challenging us to see what is possible and not get complacent or stagnant in our training. I would highly recommend this school for the whole family!

I don't think anyone would argue with the analysis that I'm an... interesting... individual. Master Ji and his school, however, is not only a place I feel comfortable to be myself, but also a place that still succeeds in teaching me despite my... quirkiness.
Master Ji is a kind hearted man who only wants to see you succeed, but one unwilling to let you take the easy way. His teachings not only create strong black belts, but also strong and kind adults. I could not suggest a better place.

Master Ji is an absolute treasure to our community. Not only does he provide world class Tae Kwon Do training, he is also an incredible human who does so much for our community and every family in his school. My 9 year-old has been training for 3 years and loves it. He is challenged, held accountable, recognized for progress and hard work, and has fun. If you are looking for martial arts training, kid or adult, Master Ji's is where you want to go without question.

My son has been attending taekwondo classes at Master Ji's for over two years now. Our family has been so impressed with Master Ji and how he runs his school. My son, who is 7 now, has learned discipline and that hard work pays off. Master Ji recognizes my son is not overly athletic and pushes him to so his very best. He also tests him based upon knowing HE is doing HIS personal best. Master Ji always has Black Belt assistants and co-instructors but make sure the kids are doing what is appropriate for their own level (color belt) and they correct form, to make sure the students are doing everything

I entered Master Ji’s TKD 11 years ago when my daughter started to have sassy attitude. She turned 18 years old today and is one of instructors there. Master ji has strengthen both of my kids physically and mentally. They have learned countless important life skills such as self discipline, patience, leadership and how to respect others from Master ji. Master Ji cares genuinely about the kids and you can see his passions easily through his consistent hard work. He started Zoom online lessons before any other TKD schools around here when school had to be closed during the pandemic. He follows
