After working in the insurance sector for 20 years, Founder, Stom Peterson decided to open his own agency in 2001. Originally located in Mars Hill, NC, Peterson Insurance Group is dedicated to great service and loyalty to his customers. After relocating to Weaverville in 2002, Stom brought his daughter, Eirene Peterson Burnette, on board to provide better efficiency in servicing their customer's accounts.

Eirene has been an office manager/agent since 2002. She brings vast knowledge in all aspects of the industry and a eye for detail to everything she does. Stom Peterson has been working in the insurance business since 1989. Specializing in commercial and life insurance, Stom is here to help you decide what policy would best suit your needs.
When our office is closed, we recommend you contact the insurance provider directly if a change needs to be made over the weekend. I cannot recommend this company enough! Yesterday we had a huge problem occur from National General Insurance. I called Peterson Insurance Group and they immediately got to work and didn't stop until the matter was resolved. Furthermore, they even offered monetary compensation to my mother to help her out, if needed, from their office! Above and beyond service!!! 10 stars

The Peterson Insurance Group took all the guess work out of choosing policies. He obtained several estimates and options which would fit my budget and needs. I also liked that they suggested options to protect my health and any kind of potential accident or critical care.
