Our mission is to comfort you during your time of loss, educate you throughout the funeral process, and advocate on your behalf. We know the pain, the confusion, and the grief that accompanies death, because all of our directors and staff have experienced personal losses. Some of us have buried our parents, others our children, still others our siblings and close relatives.
But we have been blessed with the ability to translate what we've learned into a skill set we can use to better care for bereaving families. When a bereaved family walks through the door of one of our homes for the first time, we see an opportunity to help someone in pain. We know the wide range of emotions you are experiencing, and it is our job and duty to respect those feelings by being gentle and compassionate, but above all, honest.

An at-need funeral service is arranged directly after the loss of your loved one, without pre-arrangements. Typically, one or more family members meet with a funeral director in person to make arrangements, often within 24 hours after the loss has occurred. During this time, family members can decide on the type of service, calling hours, merchandise (such as the casket and vault), clothing, prayer cards, and other items.
We are proud to be located in Akron, Ohio and serving families throughout Summit County. We got our humble beginnings in Akron, and work to serve the community with diligence and integrity. The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Chapel is the largest funeral facility in Summit County. This comfortable home houses four chapels, a cozy coffee room, a play area for children, and a vast reception room for luncheons.
We are proud to be located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and serving families throughout Summit County. In particular, we enjoy the quaintness of our McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home. The classic architectural style compliments a beautiful setting in the middle of downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Built as a funeral home in the early 1900's, it remains functional and fully operating.

Dave, Eric, and staff were complete professionals - and not only that, but they also showed so much respect, love, and class when meeting our family’s needs. Pure professionalism, while also providing a sense of calm, and laid-backness that was especially helpful during what is typically a very stressful and emotional time for families. God Bless the Anthony’s. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my loved ones.

Words can't explain the professionalism and compassion Dave and Eric had with our family in the unexpected death of our Sister Rosie. This occurred during the Christmas Holiday which made the situation alot worse. They accomodated our immediate family which consists of 27 people which was amazing. We highly recommend using Anthony Funeral Home!

I chose them because they are in my community and my loved one could still be close to home... also because they made this difficult planning very easy, they helped me make this a success..they let us be “us” and honored our wishes! They allowed us to have a good time at a funeral and remain very professional at the same time. We really like Dave, his attention to detail about our loved one that we lost brought the closing of the service lots of laughter~ we ended a funeral making memories.

We just lost my grandson a month ago. We chose Anthony Funeral Home because they did an amazing job when my mother-in-law passed away a few years ago. With Connor's funeral, they surpassed all expectations. It was beautiful, touching, and cost less than I could have imagined. We purchased some art glass containing Connor's ashes, and I am so incredibly pleased with the beauty of it! I only wish I could give more than 5 stars.
