I have been going to Dr. Costigan for over 15 years. The staff are always friendly and the office spotless. Dr. Costigan recently replaced my 4 front teeth with 1 implant and 3 crowns. I am overjoyed with the outcome. Dr. Costigan is not only skilled and meticulous but very gentle. I highly recommend this business!

At the end of my appointment I was virtually attacked by the dentist who went off and how she hated illegal immigrants and the fact that they are going to be taking money from America requesting healthcare it was out of nowhere and when pressed she became more and more racist I cannot support a business that feels this way

They are my lifetime dentist! I absolutely positively 100% trust them AND REALLY ENJOY COMING! I have to get my teeth cleaned every 3 months for now and I have had a lot of dental work overseas. I love Dr. Costigan and her entire staff. I'm sad to say that due to insurance reasons I will have to find a new DDS.
Dr Costigan has always been understanding and compassionate with regards to budgetary concerns, working with patients to utilize insurance most efficiently. She is honest and realistic in her assessments of which treatments are necessary and which can be put off or avoided with proper home-care.

Over the past twelve years, I have utilized Dr Costigan's expertise for general maintenance, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. I've had extensive crown work, and most recently a bridge replacement and an implant involving gum surgery. All procedures were pain free and I was quite comfortable throughout. I'm very pleased with the results. She is passionate about her work and very attentive to detail. Her staff is very friendly and highly competent. I strongly recommend San Marin Dental.

Great experience with the new patient special. Dr. Costigan is professional and helpful. I had been to a dentist in the past that tried to tell me I had a bunch of soft spots in my teeth and should have them all filled. That scared me so I tried Dr. Costigan. She told me my teeth are fine and no cavities. Had I listened to the other doctor, my perfectly good teeth would have been unnecessarily drilled. Because I find her conservative, if I did have a cavity I would not hesitate in letting her treat it. The staff is very friendly and helpful too.

I had a great visit at Dr Costigan's San Marin Dental Care this morning at 9am - I was 6 years over due for a cleaning, X-rays and a dental exam so I bravely trusted Sun Costigan and her talented staff to treat me with kindness and professionalism. I had my first appointment at Dr. Sun's office today, for a comprehensive teeth-cleaning and a full mouth X-ray! Secret!...I had not done that for a while and like so many patients, I was apprehensive of a new dental office in general but was also wondering what kind of experience I would have in the dental chair. Also, I came without sedating myself prior to the visit, where in the past just a small amount of libation was in order.

Lost two teeth and Dr. Sun, personally, made me well-fitting and comfortable temporary teeth so I could attend all our meaningful celebrations. The temporary teeth mirrored my natural teeth, did not have to be glued in place and were easy to clean. Before this was done, I had totally isolated myself from family & friends because of embarrassment. After having a wonderful holiday, today, I received my permanent teeth and they look and fit perfectly. This was a tough group of front teeth (eye tooth included) and I'm grateful for the great services.

I have to say that Dr. Sun and her team are very nice except the " billing lady". Dr. Sun is very sweet and gentle.
The reason I gave 1 star is only for the billing lady. She is unprofessional. I had so much trouble with the billings there. The way she talked to me on phone about the disputed outstanding balance was like a debt collector, so unprofessional. She screwed up the billings. I had wanted to talk to Dr. Sun directly and she kept telling me Dr. Sun was not available to talk. I had to write a long detailed letter explaining what happened with the backup I got from the insurance

Who likes to go to the dentist? I know, I know...no one, right? But I always learn so much about my teeth here - the hygienists give me a thorough description of what's going on in my mouth each time I come, and I walk out (always on time, BTW) feeling refreshed. They offer the latest technology in sedation if you're a nervous type (which I'n not, but good to know) and digital X-rays are much more pleasant than the old school films. And I know it's silly, but I love that their Sirius radio is always tuned to 70s tunes...

Dr. Costigan and her staff are awesome people!!! My husband and I were her patients until we moved back down to Southern California. Everyone at the office are friendly, helpful, and up front when it comes to what needs to be done and how billing works and what would be billed to you and what would be billed to the insurance.
The procedures were painless except for a pinch here and there when they injected the numbing medicine, but overall, they made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We would definitely come back to Dr. Costigan if we are ever in the North Bay again.
