Jose Katz is the owner and GIA Certified Insurance Appraiser and Grading Specialist at Jewelry Specialty by Katz. With over 35 years of experience, whatever your jewelry needs may be, Jose can take care of them! Until 1995, Jose was the corporate diamond and gold buyer for Golbro, a local family owned jewelry and home goods store chain based out of Birmingham, Alabama.
From 1995 to 2009 Jose owned and operated the independent retail store Golbro Jewelry Center and was responsible for all aspects of the business including appraisals, repairs, and custom jewelry design and ordering. Since 2009, he has been the principle owner of Jewelry Specialty by Katz continuing to provide jewelry appraisals, repair and customization, serving private customers as well as established banking and insurance institutions.
