Kang Fu Acupuncture & Herbal Center
In an exam, the practitioner learns your medical history and assesses your face, body, build, shape, abdomen, back, the shape and color of your tongue, and the quality of your pulses. This could take 30-40 minutes. KangFu Acupuncture treatment is safe when performed by a qualified, licensed practitioner.

Licensed acupuncturists insert sterile disposable needles safely. Bleeding is very rare, and then minimal. Most acupuncture patients describe the treatment as virtually painless; possibly less painful than plucking out a hair. Sensations range from nothing to mild tingling, numbness and a dull ache, and electrical pulsations.

In an Exam/Consultation, the practitioner learns your medical history and assesses your face, body, build, shape, abdomen, back, the shape and color of your tongue, and the quality of your pulses. Some acupuncturists test for weakness along your meridians and in the muscles. Some may test electrical activity.

I'm absolutely in love with the couple that runs this establishment. They really know their stuff and they learned and practiced in China, which is the real deal. I appreciate how they simulate the needles about halfway through my session, which I didn't know about since my previous acupuncturist never did that. It may not be a super posh and updated place, but don't judge a book by its cover! People of left negative reviews about Frank, but he's a good guy. He's just a very direst person, which I appreciate, but not all do.

I've been a patient since 2018 off and on. They are so caring, and go beyond expectations to meet your health needs. I had some issues with my insurance and Frank has stepped in to talk with them more than once after I clearly explain who I got approval from and give him my contacts . Getting the best certified Accupuncture is easy when you put your trust in Kang Fu Center. Hidden Gem tucked in across from Walnut Creek library. I highly recommend them. Just saw today 4/22/21 and feel so much better.

I have had great experiences here. I have been late before management was accommodating telling me to "get there when I could." I've found the family warm and polite, and the massage and acupuncture has helped my pain. I have been to two other practices before. I have never felt rushed here, they take their time and pinpoint trouble spots wherever I have them..

I'm giving Kang Fu Acupuncture 0 star. I canceled my appointment because of Covid 19, the whole California is in lockdown and a guy name Frank called me yelling at me why I canceled my appointment. He didn't even give me a chance to explain and he continued to yell at me. When I told Frank to stop yelling at me, he yelled at me louder. He's very rude, no manners and unprofessional. He even brag that if I'm going to complain to remember that his name is Frank. I don't recommend this place, the clients don't deserve to be treated like this. Please read the reviews about

Absolutely would not recommend they say they've been there since 1988 I would believe that was the last time the place was painted it was dirty the fish tank in the waiting room was cloudy and nasty The treatment Table was so old all of the give was gone from the padding not to mention it is slightly inverted or maybe it was just the pillows they put under your legs makes it so all of your body weight rest directly on your sternum so beyond uncomfortable it's been a couple of hours and my Chest still hurts they seemed much more interested in trying to treat the acne I had on my back then

Last week, I spoke with Dr. Cai over the phone and she was quite pleasant to converse with. I told her of my insurance referral/approval, health concern, and sought an available appointment time. She explained to me what steps would be for the 1st appointment and what to expect to follow. I was really looking forward to this consultation, but unfortunately I was very ill I needed to reschedule.

I called to notify the office regarding my reschedule and spoke with someone named Frank. This one star goes to his customer service. Frank is very rude. It is unfortunate that an individual like him

I represent several clients who have treated at this clinic. Every one of them gives a glowing review of the staff and the treatment received there. I highly recommend Kang Fu for acupuncture treatment

I still can't believe this practice resolved an extremely painful issue that ruled my life for over half a year. Dr. Cai is extremely accomplished & knowledgable - she just has a sense for the best way to treat any illness that the client presents to her. I had another doctor there as well and she is also very knowledgable and skilled. It's not a fancy office - the impressive stuff comes in the treatments. Kang Fu gave me my life back. Bonus - they greatly reduce anxiety as well - not just physical pain/health issues. My heart rate & blood pressure always dropped to pristine levels

This place is amazing! Excellent deep massages that started helping after my first visit. I drive 45min just to come here and cross a bridge. I am so glad I went off of previous reviews when selecting a place to go. I do acupuncture and acupressure massage with cupping. Frank will help you understand any insurance coverage questions.
I do reccomend going in relaxed and open minded to Asian cultures. If Asian herb smells bother you, any authentic spa or clinic will bother you. This is a clinic style setting focused on healing, not a fancy luxury spa that Pampers your ego. To each is own. No business

Are these good reviews legit? I'm having a hard time believing anyone could give this place five stars!!???? My pain management doc suggested acupressure treatment (I already had acupuncture in the past and decided to try acupressure/massage). This place is run down, not clean, and smelled funny. After the doctor checked my vitals she told me to "empty bladder" and "take shirt off"... without even leaving the room to allow me to undress. She then ripped open a pack of needles and that's when I explained I was there for massage - not acupuncture. She looked over the

Dr. Cai has been taking care of me for years! She and her staff are very professional and cares about their patients well being. I would go to Kang Fu acupuncture first for any of my ailments. I am sensitive to taking medication and acupuncture/acupressure is a great alternative to medication and dealing with the problem and relieving symptoms.

I would suggest to try Kang Fu Acupuncture first!

I have been going to see Dr. Cai for 13 years. She is a miracle worker. She has illuminated my pain countless times. When I first saw her I had injured my elbow and shoulder from pulling a flat bed with several hundred pounds of paper on it. I had been in excruciating pain for over 3 months to the point of not being able to eat or sleep. None of the doctors I had seen were able to help me. Finally my ortho doc Referred me to Dr. Cai. After my first visit I felt 99% improved. My body had been so tense from the pain that after my appointment I could barely walk because my body was so relaxed. It

I have been coming to the Kang Fu Center, on and off, for about 12-15 years. It is an unassuming place, tucked in an area near the Walnut Creek PD. The first thing you notice is the aroma of Chinese herbs. The staff is made up of Drs. Ma and Cai who are a married couple. Their son, Frank, runs the business side of billing and insurance, etc.

This is not a fancy place but it is very clean. What I like about going there is that you can usually always get an appointment when you are aching. Both doctors offer acupuncture which is what I prefer but they offer much more. Your appointment can last

I have been a patient since 2010. When I have unresolved issues with pain, I see Dr. Cai for health . In one instance, I had a hypothyroid condition and the medication given by my endocrinologist did not seem to agree with me. I asked Dr. Cai for help. At my six month review by my endocrinologist, he could not find any abnormality. When asked what I did since I had told him that I had trouble with the medication prescribed to me. I told him that I went the route of acupuncture.

Prior to this, I have gone in for knee and lower back problems. I leave pain free and relaxed. I go here

After almost 26 months this guy named Frank is calling and texting me about my visit / billing.

I never meet him during my office visit.

He wanted to come over to my house and go over the billing.

Is it normal for health care staff to contact a patient via text regarding there Yelp review?

Is this harassment?

Has anyone else had Frank from the acupuncture office text them?

I went for several treatments a few years ago and it helped, even though it's very hard to understand what they say because of their Chinese. Even the herb patches I was given had Chinese writing on them, so I had to depend on the verbal instructions. They did help a lot with pain. I returned in 2015 for help with leg pain after I fell on my knee. The first visit went very well i.e. the injured leg felt great. However, I had a lot of pain in my other leg that kept me awake at night for three nights! When I returned, the woman treated the other leg and, although it feels better, she also

I wish I could give them 0 stars! They said, "We accept BCBS and we'll bill your insurance company." They accepted the co-pay. All appeared good. Then I receive a bill says that I need to call my insurance company. I called to learn they are not covered. Plus they are even in the discount program.

Any company starts their relationships with a customer / client based on lies is not the type of company any of us would be working with let alone giving them our money.

STAY AWAY!
