In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health."

For years I have always known of and believed in the benefits of Chiropractic care but have never received the level of care that I have since going to Cannon County Chiropractic. Dr. Wessel and her entire staff have gone out of their way to make me feel part of the family. The extra time they pour into not only providing great care but also in educating their patients is unheard of in this day and time. In the past I had not been adjusted using the techniques that Dr. Wessel uses and the results have been amazing. Not only has my pain levels been drastically reduced allowing me to actually sleep

Our family was fortunate enough to find these folks when we first moved into the area last year. What a thrill to receive such excellent care so close to home! Every visit is completed promptly and in a professional manner. Dr. Wessel provides us with very skilled care and a wealth of 'live better' information in person or during those Tuesday evening learning sessions. A 'thank you', as well, to the CCC staff, each one being very pleasant and helpful. With the support Erin Hillis provides with her outstanding massages right there, we are set!
