Malfunctioning Aux Battery on My MB - they were able to get me in & out the same day. Vince did a complete vehicle inspection & assured me I made a good buy with my first benz purchase. He advised me on the Preventative Maintenance schedule & pricing estimates so I can budget for what's needed & when. A great painless experience. Inconspicuously located in an industrial area by River Road and Irving Park. When you walk in, you are pleasantly surprised by how nice the lobby is. Staff is super nice and accommodating, most of all honest about what's going on with the car. They'll take their time to show and explain, not pushy at all. Great service and pricing for a luxury car repair shop. I received worse service at an actual Mercedes dealer before. Very happy I found this place.

I've been taking my car to be serviced at Burdi Motorworks for several years. They are extremely knowledgeable (particularly with Mercedes), very professional and take you though the expected service prior to the repairs. If anything unexpected comes up, they communicate with you before making any additional repairs and they will let you know what your options are. Carmine and Vince are great and deliver top notch customer service.

Took my Range Rover Velar for service. Very clean, appealing waiting room and facility. The service advisor Vince is very personable, honest and friendly. A thousand times better experience than a dealer where the service advisors are pushing for unnecessary service so they can afford to pay for the marble floors and a Capuccino machine. At Burdi you also get complimentary beverages and a very clean, comfortable waiting room! More important, you get a the feel of an honest, family owned business striving to make you feel at home. I cannot say enough good things about Vince and Carmine Burdi, and Burdi Motorworks overall. Most people would run from owning a 20 year old Mercedes-Benz or shudder at the thought of having it worked on anywhere other than a qualified Mercedes dealership. Burdi Motorworks alleviated all of my concerns or fears -- they are knowledgeable, honest, and will advise you on repairs or service needed based on decades of experience rather than pushing you to facilitate repairs to increase their bill. They have earned my implicit trust and respect and are my go-to for jobs big and small.

Finding an honest mechanic is always a challenge. I used Burdi for the first time after being told by the dealer that my 2001 Sl500 had a rear main seal leak and they wanted close to $3k to repair. Upon inspection, Vince and crew determined that while there may be a very small leak, it was not significant enough to warrant a repair. I had them perform some other work unrelated to the “leak” and was very satisfied with the cost and quality of their work. I’m thrilled to have found an honest mechanic.

Vince and Team Burdi! WOW! A+ shop top to bottom. After brining my 650i into Elmhurst BMW (Avoid them!) for a rear side window power sun shade stuck in the up position. They told me they wouldn't remove the door trim to see if the mechanism was off track/needed a new belt for the drive train. Despite telling me the tech said he could hear the electric motor running when the button was activated. Elmhurst BMW refused to triage unless I ordered a whole new unit and just replaced the whole thing @ $900 with 2 hours labor included. No thanks Elmhurst BMW. I prefer real mechanics, and I found one

I do most of my automotive work as a DIY guy but some tasks need more detail and know how and installing a new intake manifold required this for my '06 MB C280.
Burdi Motorworks and both Carmine and Vince are personable and straighforward. The cost estimate was actually higher than the final cost which is always good. Great job, timely and complete.

I had very complicated engine situation and I had gone to a dealership in Chicago and they had told me the car was not savable and should be sold for scrap.
Carmine was able to work on my car and come up with a great solution for a fraction of the cost. I was amazed.
These guys are total professionals and if you have a BMW or Mercedes I would not hesitate to bring my car there ever.

Family owned business that is fast and dependable. The two sons that now run their fathers business Carmine and Vince are two great individuals! I would never take my car to anywhere besides them. They are always really helpful and caring when dealing with their customers. They have a great team that know what they are doing and I have never had a problem with their services. Their establishment that they just recently moved to is clean and quite nice. They also offer cheaper prices compared to dealerships.

Very professional, courteous and reasonable value added service. Been going there for 40 years now after my new car warranty expired they're just fantastic they were little bit League on my transmission and when I went to the dealer they quoted me $2,900 and burdi Motorworks said it's really not much big of a deal you can drive for another 10 years and then we will see and this was 4 years ago and I've been using them since then

I thought i had already left a stellar review for Burdi's but apparently i must have forgot. I have a small fleet (5) of Mercedes Sprinter Vans and I started to look for different avenues where I could get them serviced behold Burdi Motorworks! These guys are honest, fair and respectful in the fact that they understand that when one of my vans are down they get to it in a timely manner . I took my Murano to get fixed after it was hit and the person fled. I took my car there for body work which included replacing parts and subsequently a paint job. Carmine and Vince are very attentive to your vehicle's issues and are honest about what needs to be fixed and what not. I also appreciated that they showed me the work that was done on my vehicle to make sure that it held up to my expectations. Needless to say they did a great job and my expectations were indeed met.

Carmine is really knowledgeable and will fix what's needed most, vs. upselling and fixing it all at once. They can get parts really quickly.
One thing that could be improved is if you do have multiple things to fix, they could help plan getting it done all at once a little better. But I'd rather take a mechanic that is a little easy going, because they work fast to get it all done and you don't feel pressured.

Genuine, professional, honest, family-owned business. Mercedes owners in the area should not consider going anywhere else but Burdi Motorworks.
I've only been here for an alignment, tire work, and bulb replacement so far, but the work was fast and very affordable compared to dealership rates. They also accommodated my tight work schedule.
I know I'll be coming back to Burdi for all service as long as I own a Merc. Check them out!
