The meal was cooked good very tasty but there delivery of potatoes did not come in so they went across the street to the grocery store to buy potatoes, well the baked potato we got was the size of an egg or smaller but was still very good flavor the waitress was very friendly and took good care of our table

The food is always good just both delivered orders this week were not complete. The first night (Monday) we didn't receive and bread but the real problem was it took over 2 hrs to receive our order which was past cold and toasted bread and French fries soggy. Tonight (Sunday) we did not receive hamburger steak as we ordered and the delivery dri er would not deliver to our room. We told her they always bring up to room but she refused.

Excellent food and great service. Salad bar continually stocked and fresh. Will definitely return!

What a horrible experience. Finger steaks over cooked, over priced and truly the worst meal I have ever had in Montana. Please do your self a favor and stay away from an very bad experience

Absolutely THE BEST PRIME RIB I've ever had! Well marbeled, with a good amount of (trimmable) fat left on for flavor.
(Most places overtrim prime rib prior to serving, as customers think they should only get meat when getting a premium Prime Rib steak, but this South 40 knows its better to leave it and hear an occasional "Why am I paying for 4 ozs of fat" than to compromise the Prime Rib's flavor.

The downstairs restaurant looks like a rustic 1960-70's lounge/restaurant with dark wood, burgundy carpet, and a well stocked salad bar.

Out of quite a few things, yet shares the parking lot with a store. For example, soda water was out. Salad bar was yummy. Server seemed stressed. Being out of items and her machine not working will do that.

I ordered the prime rib along with a baked potato and salad bar. First off, the salad bar is absolutely great. The potato was perfect but the prime rib was completely off the hook!! I told the bartender that it was probably the best steak I've ever had! Great job to the cooks and the service was really good also. I will be back as soon I get back to Sidney.

We had our wedding reception here recently and it was perfect! Buffy was a fabulous waitress! The food was delicious and they accommodated us last minute! They made everything so simple and super easy to plan! I highly recommend them for anything!!

Fantastic service and very good food. Definitely worth the 1 hour drive. We will come again!

Always one of our family favorites. If your a soup and salad person they have a great salad bar! Good service. Only complaint was hubby ordered drummies and got 2 drummies and several wings. There's also wings on the menu for $2 less so he sent back the drummies that mostly weren't drummies.

Ordered a steak here. I'm an avid steak eater, so most restaurants, I order a steak. I honestly think they served me a used croc. Wet, Damp, and not even Warm. When you order medium, and it comes out mooing... Houston, We've Got a Problem.

I'm saying a good ole place to eat is South 40 bar and restaurant. Classic, down to earth food and drink. Not to mention the amazing salad bar. Which sad to say is hard to find. If you not a snooty foodie eat here!

South 40 was okay. Our waiter tried her very best. The food was just okay. I had the grilled chicken with a baked potato. But I will say the turtle cheesecake was delicious and I would return just to have another piece.

Weird little quirky place. Walked in on the casino side and found our way to the bar side. Decent drinks and food was ok too. Good salad bar downstairs, if you just want food, ask for the restaurant section and they'll point you downstairs.

Yes the decor is dated but that's what makes old school MT steakhouses unique! Only 3 tables this visit so service was quick and so was the food. Only complaint was paying $2.95 for mushrooms on my steak - they were canned mushrooms and on the cold side of warm. Steak was cooked perfectly. For $20 it was a great meal. Worth the stop.

Waited 45 minutes at the bar for service while the waitress walked by a dozen times. Was promised a free beer because we got the bottom of the keg and was still charged for two beers. Don't know how good the food was because we couldn't get any. The service was lousy the atmosphere was worse and one star is too many.

Not very fresh or good. Eaten here twice since being in Bakken and both times have been pretty abysmal. Clean and Nice folks work here. Thats the one star.

If you like to drink however, thew food may taste great after a few fishbowls.(?)

Turn of the 60s decade decor but mostly clean. Busy, busy. Wait staff pretty on top of things. Food was just ok. Came out hot tho.

Ill go back.
