Services
The Children's AIDS Fund International works to limit suffering caused by HIV disease for children and their families in the United States and around the world, by providing care, services, resources, referrals and education. The Children's AIDS Fund International's goal is to limit suffering of HIV-impacted children and families around the globe.
CAFI's goal is to maximize the impact of every donor dollar to help HIV impacted children and their families. Our supported services go beyond HIV disease to provide for more comprehensive needs such as psychosocial support, education assistance, nutrition, and livelihood needs. We partner with local organizations and institutions to achieve optimal service goals.
Key Needs: Support for youth behavior change prevention projects; school tuition fees, uniforms and books; for adult vocational skills training for impacted families. Key Needs: Support for emergency financial assistance to HIV impacted children and families for essentials like rent and food. How You Can Help: Build awareness children and families in the US are still being affected by HIV disease; funds for assistance for impacted families.
CAFI's Board members bring special expertise in various aspects of the HIV pandemic and are actively engaged in our programs. More than half of the board members have personally visited CAFI program sites in sub-Saharan Africa. CAFI works very hard to keep overhead low so as much of each financial contribution goes into program as possible.
BMC provides out-patient and in-patient care, maternal child health, laboratory services, dental and eye clinics, and minor surgery. Services include treatment and care for HIV infected and impacted adults and children, and multiple prevention programs including safe male circumcision. Orphan and vulnerable children services include education, nutrition and psychosocial support.
