We can complete a translation and linguistic validation of most PROs in three weeks, anywhere in the world. Identifying effects of a disease on populations by measuring patient outcomes, direct & indirect costs and traditional epidemiologic endpoints. Evaluating the performance characteristics of a PRO instrument to evaluate its utility to detect meaningful differences in outcomes.
Since 1987 Health Outcomes Group has been a leader in establishing the methodology for translating and linguistically validating Patient Reported Outcomes instruments (PROs). We created the first Standard Operating Procedures for translation and linguistic validation of health related quality of life instruments in 1992 and these standards are the foundation of the ISPOR Guidelines that are the industry's quality standard today.
We have translated questionnaires and diaries for adults and children with asthma that have been implemented in both portable electronic devices and in traditional paper booklets. We have translated the HAQ, the gold standard for disability for rheumatoid arthritis, into more than 80 languages. The CHAQ is also available to evaluate disability in children.
Health Outcomes Group has translated and linguistically validated many questionnaires over the years. Several of these have been made available for distribution through us by their developers. We have validated translations of the HAQ, WOMAC(R), AUSCAN(C), 24 hour Migraine QoL and others.
