Created by Liz Arch, Primal Yoga is a dynamic yoga & martial arts fusion style that merges vinyasa yoga with the artistry of kung fu, and the grace of tai chi into an athletic, heat building flow while focusing on alignment, balance, strength, power, and flexibility. Vinyasa is a Sanskrit term in relation to a certain style of yoga, referring to a transition between two different positions.

Nyasa means 'to place' and vi means 'in a special way'. So essentially you are placing yourself in a special way step by step from pose to pose. It's shining a light on transitions. One of the most popular styles of yoga in the US, vinyasa involves synchronizing the breath with a contintuos flow of postures.

Initially, we travel to lose ourselves, to get away from our routines, and to relax. There are those occasions, however, that call from a deeper place within for adventure and the unknown. In 2011, my heart wanted a journey. And she received one. I began travelling to discover who I really am. For me, yoga is a means of truly knowing yourself on a deeper level.

I'm so very excited to bring yoga to the tango community! Both of these art forms can be entwined so beautifully! Yoga creates strength, presence, flexibility, balance, and rhythm bringing attention to our breath and body in space. These are similar requirements in the art of tango dancing. This Sunday come explore Primal Yoga Vinyasa Flow with me as we deepen into the awareness of our bodies.
I had this smoothie in Sayulita, Mexico while on a yoga retreat with my teacher and it was so good! I went to that little restaurant sometimes twice a day for this incredible yumminess! This is just so darn good. It's a fabulous way to fight inflammation (turmeric) and invite your body to rest in the evening.
Michelle's yoga class is my absolute favorite in all of LA. She consistently creates interesting sequences that stimulate my imagination, which has encouraged a major shift in how I move my body. Sometimes we are trees or pigeons and sometimes dancing deities! I highly recommend her for yogis of all levels and traditions.

I love practicing with Michelle! Her sessions are intuitively guided and filled with wisdom bombs from her many years of dedicated practice and life experience. I can honestly say that my practice has been totally transformed by her. Did I mention that I could listen to her voice all day?

Being an avid practitioner of Yoga as well as an occasionally teacher, my practice requires certain aspects of attention, strength and depth. Michelle captured all three and more I wasn't aware of. I left her class feeling rewarded.

Michelle's teaching comes from a beautiful place of desire to share with the student, in a hands-on and intuitive caring form, her depth of experiential knowledge of yoga and how best to achieve your own potential by way of her instruction. She is strong with grace, gentle with the touch of what people may call Shakti and the right measure of humor and

I'm Seraphine, age 66 and counting. I have been practicing restorative yoga since my cancer recovery 13 years ago. I always stayed away for more advanced Yoga...until I joined Michelle Corp's classes as I knew I'd grown beyond just restorative movement.

I find her classes sooo not like all the other instructors I've learned from. Michelle customizes each class to the personal abilities and needs of each of her students. I've been working with her since her first class. I feared my back problems and foot problems in the beginning. I find now, after her sessions, that

My session with Michelle was AMAZING!
She created a relaxing, safe and motivating experience with her music and attentive instruction. She has a peaceful and warm presence which translates through her teaching. I felt her session had the perfect balance of really working the body, calming the soul and clearing the mind. Her great sense of humor made it more comforting when I struggled with a few poses-we all have those moments and it was nice to laugh through it! She's inspired me to make yoga a constant in my life and am thankful to have her as my teacher. Namaste!
