TPCS is a not-for-proft extension of the Judeo-Christian faith community dedicated to providing quality pastoral counseling and education to anyone regardless of age, race, faith perspective or socio-economic background. Organized in 1974, TPCS serves more the 1,500 clients annually in nine church based centers throughout Hampton Roads.
The staff are ordained clergy representing a wide variety of denominations, who have specialized training and certification through the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Many of the pastoral counselors on staff are licensed in Virginia as Professional Counselors (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).

My husband and I went to Tidewater Pastoral Counseling Services in 1988 . For nine months we went every week for an hour and a half. Our counselor was Dr. William C. Hedrick. He was wonderful!!! Thanks to Dr. Hedrick we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on March 18th. Thank you, Dr. Hedrick.
