Sunny Hill Pre-School
If you need to get in touch with the Director, please email her directly at director@sunnyhillpreschool.org. Sunny Hill Preschool was founded as a non-profit organization in 1958 by the Sudbury United Methodist Church. We celebrate our sixtieth anniversary in the 2018-2019 school year. While the school is affiliated with the church, we are secular (not religious).

The school offers a play-based program that combines preparation for kindergarten with an emphasis on a child's social and emotional development. The focus of the programs at Sunny Hill Preschool is on the whole child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
Services
Our facilities include 6 bright and sunny classrooms, as well as a large classroom downstairs which houses our Stay, Play & Learn program. Our classrooms include quiet areas with books, manipulatives and blocks, as well as spaces for dramatic play, literacy, science, math and art exploration. We have a large indoor space for gross motor activities and large group gatherings, as well as a smaller carpeted room where smaller activities can be held.
Who can enroll? This program is for children who have turned 2.9 years old. Children may enroll in the class on a rolling basis when they become 2.9 during the school year on a space-available basis. Children in this program are guided and supported by a teaching team of two early childhood educators, and the class size is limited to 10 children.
Sunny Hill Preschool has a child-centered, play-based philosophy. We believe in a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children two to five years of age, presented in an environment which fosters the individual child's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills.

Our talented, professional team of early childhood educators create an environment that supports and develops a love of learning, respect, cooperation, leadership, an ability to make choices, pride in individual accomplishments and problem solving skills. Our goal is to promote learning through the joy of discovery.
Each summer we offer three separate, week-long sessions for those interested in spending a little more time at Sunny Hill. Each session is theme based and staffed by Sunny Hill Employees. Water Play is incorporated as sprinklers, wading pools, water tables and water toys are brought out to the playground for some warm weather fun! Outside play, planned gross motor activities, art and/or science projects are also enjoyed each day.
A discount is provided to families who have two or more children enrolled in the school. A 20% discount of the regular monthly tuition is allowed for the child who is attending the fewer number of days. This discount does not apply to the Stay & Play Program or "Summers at Sunny Hill." Need-based Scholarships are available on a confidential basis - please speak with the Director for details.

Report
After visiting many preschools in the Sudbury area, we decided Sunny Hill offered the most for our toddler son--excellent teachers, a large and beautiful outdoor playground, a play-based teaching philosophy, excellent enrichment programs (music and movement classes are twice a month), and a very nurturing environment. We could not be happier with our choice to enroll in Sunny Hill! My son is happy to go to school every day and adores his teachers (this has not always been the case and I am so relieved!). The school is NAEYC accredited which was important to us. My son often says "I love my
