Nearly twenty years ago, Thomas and Wendolyn decided to leave the hospital setting and set up a private practice for physical and occupational therapy. After decades of working in hospitals and outpatient clinics, occupational/hand therapist Thomas Primavera decided to open up his own clinic. He knew he had something special to offer his patients.
Life changing moments make us who we are and what we do. I was in my 20's attending pre-med classes at the University of WA when my sweet grandmother was in a car accident. She was 80 years old. Her right leg had to be amputated. She had lived in the house that she was born in. A small house with one bathroom at the top of the stairs.
Rue & Primavera offers several services for rehabilitation, pain management, and mobility enhancement. We currently provide pediatric therapy, hand therapy, women's health care, laser therapy, aquatic therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, splints, nerve conduction studies, and swelling and lymphedema.
Physical therapists are experts in the musculoskeletal system. If possible see a therapist before you have pain or physical dysfunction. Therapists have the knowledge and skills to evaluate you from head to toe. They will spend more time with you listening and examining you than any other health care provider.
On your first visit, we will evaluate you, request your detailed history, and want to learn where you hurt. This is done one-on-one with your therapist, in a private room and will last at least 45 minutes. If you are in pain, we will want to address this first. Your relationship with your therapist is very important.

I've been going to R&P for 9 months for physical and occupational therapy due to a back injury and seizure recovery. I've seen Wendy, Tom, Merrim and Keagan at different times depending on mutual availability and everyone I know there treats you like family. I'm active duty Navy as are a lot of their patients. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner as well as a new OT patient there, and with our combined 40yrs of military and medical experience, we can both testify to the fact that Rue and Primavera is second to none when it comes to patient satisfaction!

The front staff is wonderful. That being said I am quite disappointed in the physical therapy staff and lack of consistency or availability. I was receiving PT with one of the providers for a few months off and on, with a few weeks where I wouldn't have PT at all. Then, all of a sudden I show up for my appointment and was told that guy just left. I didn't get a call or notification or option to just cancel. The same thing happened last week and I had to start over with someone else again who is not knowledgeable about my situation or issues. It feels like it was all a huge waste of time

Rue and Primavera has helped me tremendously regain my strength and range after a horrible break in my left arm. Since it is my dominate arm, I was pretty helpless as my right arm sustained a horrible injury when I was in my teens which was over 40 years ago. Their wonderful staff were courteous and patient as I had lots of therapy ahead of me to work through the limitations that I needed to overcome.

Got a refferal from doctor to go here and have heard it's one of the best physical therapy places in town .I had to reschedule my first appointment because of a conflicting school event . I'm taking 16 credits at Skagit Valley College, and work part time and am very active and busy.The second appointment came around and I called the cancel 4 hours in advance!I canceled because I had been called into work ,and was literally scolded like a child because I had to cancel.Im not impimpressed .Whoever took my call was very snotty and rude.
