Services
Scott H. Durand, D.D.S. joined Wabasha Dentistry in July of 2012. Born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, Dr. Durand was raised in Richfield, Minnesota. He studied civil engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and architecture at the University of Minnesota. He spent a number of years in the residential architecture field before pursuing dentistry and still enjoys exercising skills attained with constant projects around the house.
Dental bonding can improve the appearance of chipped, broken, cracked and stained teeth and fill in spaces between teeth. Dentists apply a thin layer of tooth-colored composite resin to the teeth to restore chips and cracks, fill in gaps or cover stains, and provide patients with a more attractive and functional smile.
Taking a patient's blood pressure is a precaution used to obtain a baseline rate. The dentist can then monitor whether the blood pressure levels are changing over time or whether the patient is in distress. Blood pressure checks are beneficial to all patients, but most especially to those who may not visit their physicians on a regular basis.
ClearCorrect is the invisible way to straighten teeth without using braces. Clear aligner therapy is an orthodontic treatment in which the patient wears a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually move the teeth to improve bite function and/or esthetic appearance. Clear aligners show off your smile, so most people won't even notice you're wearing them.
Even the most thorough brushing does not always reach the deepest indentations in the back teeth (molars). In a procedure that takes only a few minutes per tooth, our trained staff cleans the tooth and paints the plastic sealant on to the tooth enamel. This coating works like a barrier to prevent plaque from attacking the enamel.

This appointment was for Jim, 96.5, getting his teeth cleaned. Everyone is so gracious and supportive of us both, they handle his dementia beautifully. He had a successful low stress experience and his teeth are so nice and clean. Best care we have had in many years. Highly recommend them for any age and any level of care.

I am more than happy with my experiences at Wabasha Dentistry. They are all a professional , knowledgable, gentle and kind. They take their time to explain everything before a procedure. They follow up with your care and love the decision to switch dentists after being with my last one for over 25 years. I think this will be where I stay for the next 25.

Wabasha Dentistry is a family-oriented business who cares for all their patients like family. Doesn't matter if you are there for a cleaning or other dental issues, you are always greeted with a smile. Recently I broke a tooth and they were great.
