Chris is the Service Manager at Brower Automotive. He works with a team of high level automotive service technicians and communicates directly with all customers explaining vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance needs. Chris grew up in the automotive industry at the shop with his father being owner and operator of their family business.
John and his staff have provided excellent service for all of my vehicles for the past 25 years. If you need a mechanic this is the place to go. They are fair, honest, and effective. Our family has dealt with Brower Automotive for 25 yrs. Honest repair estimates--what can wait, what can't. We've bought many used cars over the years, and Brower Automotive assesses all our autos before purchase--never a miss!
We are a fourth generation shop proudly serving the local community for more than 70 years. Since opening in 1946, we take pride in upholding our reputation of quality work and trust. All of our technicians are ASE certified and can handle the most complex problems a vehicle has to offer. This means we can fix it right the first time.

Since moving back to the area over 15 years ago we have been going to John Brower for service and annual inspections on all our cars. We've always appreciated the personal service Brower provides and feel confident in their knowledge and expertise. Having lived in the Mont Clare area for many years was told that Brower's was the place for auto repairs and could be trusted not to rip you off or overcharge you. You could trust if they said your car / truck needed any work then that was the truth. Have taken all of my vehicles here for everything from unknown repairs ( to me anyway ) to plain oil changes. No problem leaving there and picking up later. Always great with time to be done. Great calling you if needed anything more done. Small shop but great people from Johnny all the way around. I can't thank Brower Automotive enough for their professionalism, knowledge and also taking in my car on short notice knowing that they had other lengthy jobs for the day. I dropped my vehicle off overnight (they have forms conveniently outside of their shop) and the next day their team provided me with regular updates as my car was being operated on, both through email and by phone. I immediately felt like my car was in good hands and that I finally found reliable mechanic shop for the area I just moved to.

Brower automotive is my family’s shop of choice. The attention to detail here makes a tremendous difference. My family has three cars including a 34 year old camper van, and Brower has taken care of each of our vehicles as if it was their own. They communicate carefully to set good expectations, they share photos to explain work to be done, and they follow up personally to ensure that we are satisfied (and that the vehicle is running well!).
