With a broad range of training and experience, Cliff is an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, a licensed Pennsylvania safety inspector, emissions inspector and certified emissions repair technician. Driving mostly Saabs, including a 1992 900 Turbo convertible, Cliff is also proud of his 1919 White truck in the garage at home.

Did you ever hear that old saying, "you shouldn't work on your friends' cars?" Well, it doesn't apply here. Mechanics Cliff and Jonathan both started out working on their friends' cars and they're still doing exactly that! Story's Garage is taking care of cars for the grandchildren of a few of our long-time customers.
Story's Garage, in northern Chester County, just outside of Phoenixville, PA, is conveniently located on Route 724. We'll schedule your service appointment for a time that works for you! Amazing service.
I took my car in for it's yearly inspection. He walked me through all of the problems found, what he did to address them, and informed me of upcoming maintenance I needed to plan for. At no point did I feel pressured into performing work that I didn't need.
In addition, he has loaner cars offered and that enabled me to get to work and back to his place with ease. No dealership in the area offers loaner cars unless you purchased your car there. This is an amazing feature and, to me, makes all the difference.
I would recommend this place to anyone who needs service.

I brought my car in after a constant check engine light that had stumped many before. They diagnosed the problem, made suggestions that saved me a ton of money, and explained everything in great detail (which was something I hadn't experienced elsewhere). After all was said and done, my car Finally passed inspection and I couldn't be happier!! The whole staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and I'm happy to say that I have found my go-to place.

Kip/Cliff (owner of Story's garage) is such an honest mechanic. In a world where so many mechanics are trying to trick you into fixing something that doesn't need fixing, Kip always explains car problems in simple terms and never advises anyone to fix something if unnecessary. He is kind, understanding, and just an all-around great person. I live an hour away and still take my car in to be serviced by Kip--and I've never regretted it!

I have been taking my vehicles to Story's Garage since the 1990's because I found an honest and fair establishment. Most all of the others are looking for a way to scam you, but not these guys. I had moved out of the area, but when I moved back recently, I looked forward being able to utilize Story's Garage again. I have not found another garage that I have as much faith in as them. The loaner vehicles are just icing on an already beautiful cake. I cannot say enough good things about Cliff and his people.

The only reason why my car started at all after a year+ of neglect from me was because of the previous maintenance work you had done on her 244,000 mile engine! You guys never let me down and are always willing to answer my questions and give me reasonable choices along with the necessary information I need to make an informed decision! I trust the information you give me and never feel like you're patronizing the "little lady." I like how you call me first
