Caribbean cuisine is healthy because it is made with many unprocessed foods, uses smaller portions of meats, has a high content of fish, beans, and vegetables, and, most of all, because it is an eclectic mix of the best that African, European, Indian, and Chinese cuisines have to offer. Moreover, Caribbean islanders have always been aware of the relationship between food and health.
Perhaps Caribbean cuisine is healthy due to luck or happenstance. How else can anyone explain why some of the most highly rated medicinal herbs, etc, ginger, garlic, all spice and hot peppers just happen to be the basic seasonings used in Caribbean cuisine. Fighting Heart Disease and Stroke Lifestyle For Healthy Living Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) can be avoided with a healthier diet.

So I was in the area today and wanted some oxtails. My 1st choice was to go to Golden Krust but a customer convinced me that Pete’s was better. I bought some oxtails, it appears that many people that have their reviews can’t be True Jamaicans , my family is. I never tasted Oxtails that were so so NASTY, it seems like flour or Baking soda was made with the gray, tasted very very bland no country peppers thyme or any other normal ingredients.., This was the WORST that I have tasted.Oxtails are very expensive and for the little bit of meat on the bones the meat SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXCEPTIONAL. I decided to stop by here for lunch since I had the taste for Jamaican food and saw the great reviews. I was very ecstatic to see all the fish options and selected the escovitch since it's one of my favorite Jamaican dishes. The tilapia is cheaper than the salmon and the snapper, which runs about $16 to $18, depending on the size. I ordered the tilapia for $9 and some change, which was a really good deal for escovitch. I also ordered the small serving, which was was quite a bit of food. The food was okay, not what I expected of escovitch but I do plan to return in try something else being that
