Services
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer HUC-DT certified stem cell therapy. This therapy does not require the multiple anesthetic and surgical procedures that are required with autologous therapy.
Dr. Colquhoun founded Sunrise Animal Hospital in 1994. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine. He began his career in North Carolina as a mixed animal practioner. He moved to South Carolina in 1990 and has been serving pet owners in the Greenville community ever since.

If the dog you found had 2 different stomach parasites and HEARTWORMS you'd hope the "dropoff" and the results would be worth the $500 price tag, right? Nope.. "the medication we put him on MAY kill out his symptoms" AFTER THE FACT I BROUGHT HIM THERE TO BE CURED!!!!!?? Trash..

Called to make an appointment for my dog and the lady that answered was very inconsiderate and short with me. Very quick to say “nope”. Didn’t ask what was wrong and before I could finish sentences/questions...”nope”. Another vet actually recommended this place because they were booked for the day—That’s so unfortunate. I’m glad it didn’t work out because I strongly feel like that is a reflection of how they treat there animals. # bulletdodged

I am so thankful to have found a vet that is genuinely concerned about my pets well being. I have been charged ridiculous fees and told ridiculous nonsense to go with those fees in the past and am so grateful to be given the opportunity to simply focus on my animal and his care and recovery versus stressing every minute on how Im going to pay for it. I am so thankful for Sunrise Animal Hospital and want to make sure others know that there are true caring vets out there and you will find them here.

I’ve reviewed before but I wanted to post an updated one now that I’ve been in the area for a year. Dr Simpson and Dr Colquhoun have been so kind and helpful to my cats Blizzard and Crono. Between allergies and lost claws and checkups, they have gotten my pets feeling great again in no time. They also take the time to fully explain issues to you, I’ve never once left the office feeling confused, I’ve always felt very clear and informed on how to handle any given situation. My household will continue to recommend this office to anyone in need of a good vet. Thank you!

Sunrise Animal Hospital is by far one of the best veteran hospitals I've ever taken my dogs to. My dog Luna got very sick and they tried everything to help her. Even when I couldn't afford an office visit they still talked to me about her and gave her some different medications to try. My old vet would have never done that. They would have made me bring her in for an office visit. In the end I had to put my Luna girl to sleep cause everything we tried to do was not helping her and she was in lots of pain and was suffering. I her cremated and I wanted to get her ashes back for my youngest son. However
