A Certified Acceptance Agent reviews and certifies original documents onsite that would normally have to be sent to the IRS with the Form W-7 Application.

I was looking for a tax preparer that wasn't the usual, by the numbers, professional that I could pay a fee to determine whether a Roth IRA conversion would make sense. I thought I was going in for a free consultation to see if he could do. No mention by the staff or Mr. Stout said there was a $250 per hour fee to learn this and after dealing with similar professionals like lawyers or contractor's I didn't think to ask. When I asked him this about 30 minutes into our discussion he said something that made me think to ask what his fee would be to do something and he told me that the office staff
