Gary began his martial arts training in 2002. In 2003 he started studying Jiu-Jitsu with Ben Eaton. In 2010, Ben re-located to Yorktown and asked Gary to continue running the South Bend Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu affiliate school. RJJA of South Bend continues to thrive under Gary's leadership, and in 2016 Gary received his Black Belt from Professor Ben Eaton.
