I went in for the first time seeing all the great reviews. I have waist length hair and i called and confirmed the pricing multiple times before. But halfway through my haircut she decided to increase the price by $10. Also the hairstylist said stuff like “i wish you loose more hair”, i was polite enough not to walk out. A pretty rude thing to wish on someone because you find long hair difficult to cut. The haircut itself was suboptimal. Never visiting this salon again.

I wish I can give less than 1 star. They told me they are going to take me in and when I walked in, hair stylist were least interested for doing root touch up. Very rude and unprofessional hairstylist assigned to me and during half way of consultation she said now other hairstylist will work with you as my client is here. This is how you treat your customers? Very unprofessional behavior. Highly suggest not to use their services.

Asked for partial foil highlights with hairline foils so the bottom half of of my ponytail would match, and they skipped a 2 inch section behind each ear. Went back and they fixed the color, but when I asked for long layers they were choppy and uneven. My first experience at Prosper Hair months ago was amazing, but this return visit was disappointing. I'm going to have to have several inches cut off elsewhere to fix this cut.
To their credit, Prosper Hair did offer to let me come back a second time to correct the style, but I'm too nervous to return. 😬

I came here to get my hair lightened and brightened by a blonde color specialist after seeing great posts on their IG. What I got instead was broken golden hair with lots of stripes in it, very noticeable in home lighting. Not happy at all. In addition, they left the color In foils too long that it actually heated up so much that it burned. And I showed a picture of the hair I wanted with long cut bangs that hit to the chin. Instead, she cut me short bangs that hate. When I notified them of the issues with the colored stripes, they went on the defense. Said they would not refund the color but instead

This has been my third visit to Prosper hair and Alicia, hands down is one of the best hair stylist I have ever had! I truly love how much Alicia listens to what I want. She cuts my hair to the style and volume I am looking for every-time. I have a short bob style hair cut so if you are looking for a pro hairstylist for short hair go to Alicia. I am also confident she cuts all hair lengths amazingly. Lastly, she is the only one I know who uses a razor to the ends of the hair, adding the perfect finishing touch the style!

This is the first hair cut and highlight I have had in such a long time. I think every one there worked to make sure I had a relaxing and beautiful day. My hair looks great and it looked terrible before. They took the time to make my hair just right instead of rushing to get out at closing time. At the end of the day I had the salon to myself and it was great. Everyone here is professional and polite. Would recommend.

(Review on behalf of my wife). Fed up, and frustrated with the owner, Michelle. She must think she is the best hair professional in the county: she is not! Never listens to how I want my hair done: does it her way regardless of how many times I tell her otherwise. Never gets the color right. I have spent many, many hours having her fix the problem. Most times, she wants me to come back days/weeks later because she is too busy. Even pay to have it corrected. After going through this 4 times, I give up. Arrogant and disrespectful owner.

First of all this place has a very disrespectful and rude owner! I had the worst experience ever. I got the karetin treatment and the job was not done correctly. I paid $195 to just sit for 4 hours and waste my time. I explained to the guy (owner) and he went ahead and assured me that they would re-do the work for free. The day I go back to get my hair re-done they try and move my spot to a later time without notifying me. The owners wife is the person I felt was so rude and unprofessional. She had the nerve to roll her eyes at me and say rude remarks as if I didn't speak English. I am Hispanic

I had my hair done by Michelle today and she did an amazing job at fixing my botched roots. She did a shadow root and toned my hair so it’s silver. She got it to look almost exactly like the picture I showed her. I’m very happy with the result and can’t wait to come back. Everyone here was very nice and personable, and the salon is extremely clean. Thank you Michelle!

Relocated from Hawaii to the McKinney area and was in search of a new hair salon and glad I found this one in Prosper. Erica my hairstylist was great and very easy to talk to about what I wanted to do with my hair. The salon was clean and organized you can tell this was a place with frequent and regular customers. I'm definitely gonna make this my home salon. Prices are also very reasonable.

We're new to the state and saw such great reviews for this place. I brought pics and written instructions as to how to do my hair color. I wanted chunky highlights just like the pic and I got skinny. My hair was also bleached to lighten the highlights and that has ruined the texture of my hair. I've not had my hair bleached in 25 years. It took 6 hours to color and cut my hair! Never has that happened before to me. I'm there to get my hair done like I've always had it done and showed pics and brought the formula numbers. They either were too inexperienced to do that or they

Michael was in charge of my mom and one of my daughters hair. He was so incredibly rude!! Apparently I didn't know I was supposed to specify what type of color my mom needed. I had no clue that when I said she needed cut and color that was not good enough (she has very short hair). The man bullied and threw a tantrum. My mom was so uncomfortable she just told him to do the cut

Fantastic hair cut for my sweet autistic 12 year old daughter! The staff was wonderful with her! Took their time, explained to her what they where doing and listened to what she wanted! She wanted short and easy to manage!! Absolutely thrilled with our experience! They even printed up step by step instructions for her on how to care for her hair!

This review is for my son Chris. Alicia cut his hair for him a couple weeks ago. He is 15, and his hair is a big deal to him. Alicia did a great job! He was pretty comfortable with her, and although he was apprehensive when we walked in because there were no men in the salon, he was happy when we left. Salon is nice. The people in there are pretty friendly. Better than some places we have been to.

Prosper Hair was referred to be me a coworker. I loved the salon. From the music to the comfortable chairs to the friendliness of the staff, all was top-notch. The prices were reasonable, too. There was no pressure to buy products like some salons. I had Michael. He was professional and easy to talk to. He took time with me so I didn't feel like 'a rush job'. My only complaint is that I wanted (and showed a few pics) of silver highlights. My hair is not even close to what I wanted. I didn't expect the same style as the photos I showed him. Loved going to this place for my hair! The hairdressers were all very nice & knowledgeable about coloring and they had a big variety of options & understood exactly what I wanted. Not too big of a place but a good size for what's needed. I especially liked the comfy washing chairs where you can prop your feet up & the blow dryers that take up way less room by coming out of the ceiling Very happy with my color & will be going back in a few more months for another style!
