Ana Mier, owner and manager of Ana's Pro Gown Alterations is the daughter of a master tailor. At the age of eight years old, with her father's guidance created her first piece - a pair of jeans. Over her high-school years, Ana created suits and dresses for herself inspired by browsing through catalogs.

I got my dress from Bridal Boutique - Lewisville and used Andy's Floral Events, so it was super convenient that this store was right there on Main St with them. They are a little on the pricey side but it is worth it! My only note is that after I dropped off my dress, I went in for my first fitting a few weeks later. When I arrived and put the dress on, the dress was not done. There were still safety pins where the bustle was supposed to have buttons and ties. Luckily there were a few additional alterations that were needed so it was no hassle to leave the dress with them for another few weeks

They Literally Saved My Daughter’s Day
A bit of background, so you understand how incredible they are and how much I appreciate them and their work. My daughter is very picky and liked a gown she found online, so I contacted a supposedly local dress maker to make it for us and got scammed (they took my money, you can read the nightmare in my Google Review for Darius Cordell). Please read-- my daughter and I met the owner 3 years ago when she only had 1 small shop it was on a Sunday and we had no appointment. The owner was the sweetest ever. This meeting led to me purchasing my dress at her location. Move forward to 8/2020 we made an appt and our young hostess Michelle was absolutely wonderful. We tried on 5 dresses bc that was the limit. My daughter chose the exact same dress from the 1st time 3 years prior. Being a late model it was on sale and left room for customization. I had such a good experience with Ana’s Pro Gown Alterations! Brought my wedding dress in and needed it hemmed, bustled, and some fabric taken in around my bust and waist. They pinned everything and had it ready 3 weeks later. It was perfect! I was really impressed with how quickly they were able to finish it and my dress fit me like a glove. Annette was very helpful and provided great customer service!

The only catch to my beautiful gown was that I’m not proportioned like a runway model ( but who is!) so the alterations needed were pretty intense. My gown is also almost completely covered in beading. While it was a bigger price tag than I was expecting, Ana literally had to re-make my dress to make it fit and when they were done, it fit me like a glove. They were really transparent with what the costs were and they didn’t add a penny more after the initial quote. They were able to break down the payments over the course of the alterations and even squeezed in a couple of special requests

Ana transformed my wedding dress and I was so happy with the end result. I originally purchased my dress multiple sizes up and strapless, and at Ana's Professional Gown Alterations, they helped me achieve my dream wedding dress with beautiful lace sleeves and a higher neck line. I would recommend going to Ana's for any alterations. I will definitely be going back if I ever need anything else.
