Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that affects approximately 1 in 5 women, of reproductive age, worldwide. Up to 70% of women with PCOS are undiagnosed. Many individuals diagnosed with PCOS are told that nutrition and lifestyle play a large role in managing the symptoms. Often weight loss, restriction, and exercise are recommended to clients leading to frustration and feelings of failure when diets do not work.
