Couples who are engaged can plan to marry in the US. The foreigner obtains a fiance visa from a US consulate abroad and enters the US to marry a US citizen. The foreigner applies for a green card after marriage and becomes a lawful permanent resident of the USA. After marriage, the spouse remains in the U.S. to apply for a permanent resident green card.
A CR marriage visa is the correct visa if you are already married or will soon marry a foreign fiance who resides abroad. Please read Already In the U.S. if your foreign spouse is present in the United States currently. A CR marriage visa is an immigrant visa. It allows your foreign spouse to relocate permanently to the United States and obtain a green card.
A green card is evidence that a foreigner is a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. but not yet a U.S. citizen. It is a plastic card about the size of a credit card and a foreigner carries it in his or her wallet as form of immigration ID. Like a U.S. citizen, a green card holder can work at any job and can use the card to return to the U.S. after international travel.
A showing of past persecution supports an argument that returning home will put you at risk of further abuse. However, fear of future persecution is an essential requirement in nearly all cases. You will not normally succeed if you cannot show convincingly that you will suffer persecution if returned to your home country.

I hired Allan S. Lolly & Associates to help me obtain residency for my husband, who is from Sweden. Initially I was weary about hiring a lawyer, much less a lawyer that lived across the country. After going through the process, I can confirm it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I cannot exaggerate enough how much stress and struggle Taylor (my attorney) saved me from. I had no idea what I was doing and was completely overwhelmed, the entire process of obtaining residency seemed almost impossible. But from the first conversation with Allan S. Lolly & Associates, the burden was lifted. Taylor

My wife and I highly recommend Allan Lolly and associates. We used them to file our IR 1 visa. We worked with Tami and she was absolutely spectacular. She was very prompt returning emails, super friendly and made a stressful process very simple and easy. We recommend using them for any of your immigration needs.

Great firm, very quick to respond, and helped answer all of my questions timely. All consultation over email was free, and I got all the information I needed to make a decision without having to pay a dime. Of course it costs money to have them process papers for you, and go through the process with you, but to get legal information was free, and they answered all of our questions quickly, and simply, with follow up emails to clarify understanding. Great people, smart lawyers 10/10 would reccomend.

Ms. J Garcia returned my call immediately and spoke to me in depth for over an hour about the complexity of my situation and the best way to handle it. The consultation was free and all of the other immigration attorneys I found wanted $100-$400 just to talk for 40 min over the phone not even knowing if they would be able to help me with what I needed. Ms. Garcia made me feel extremely comfortable and gave me hope. Her professional and polite demeanor ensured me I want to have this firm representing my case. Anyone looking for an immigration attorney look no further, this is the one. Plus payment

We paid off all the fees a few months ago. Tami sent us an email yesterday to remind us to renew my EAD card. I have to say I am really impress with the firm. I feel like my case is taken very good care of by the firm. Usually companies don't care once they get your money. Allan's firm is different. I know he cares and all the people working on our case care.

While I lived overseas, I met my wife and we eventually decided to permanently move back to the US. Allan Lolly & Associates successfully helped us gain permanent residency for my wife. The fees are VERY reasonable compared to other law firms providing similar services. They are also very professional and very good with communication. They make sure you know what is going on at all times, and they do a very good job at preparing you for every step of paperwork, government interaction, and of course the final interview. We did not have to resubmit paperwork at any step of the process, and we were

For many years, we have been trying to get my Canadian Wife's Green Card but it has been nothing but a tough uphill battle for one reason or another. That was, until we decided to bring on Allan, Tami and their wonderful staff at their firm. I was initially skeptical at Allan's abilities due to a bad experience with a previous law firm, but as I… spoke with him over the phone (while he was even in the middle of a commute), I found he was extremely knowledgeable, patient, took the time to answer every question I had to every little detail and provided more information in just an hour of chatting

This law firm is still actively working my case to obtain my fiancee's visa. So far, my experience is far better than I could have imagined. The communication is amazing! I will often times email them with questions and get responses that day. If it is not that day it is always by the next day. They are very professional and upfront. Jennifer Garcia was the person I initially talked to and she answered so many questions and explained the process in detail. Very knowledgeable person to talk with about any immigration concerns. Highly recommend!
