Services
Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) designs seek to provide thermal comfort, acceptable indoor air quality, reasonable installation and maintenance costs, and efficient operation. In addition to facility temperature control, HVAC systems enable ventilation, reduce air infiltration, and maintain pressure relationships between spaces.
PTA Engineering is proud to participate in the development of sustainable design and building practices to enhance occupant comfort. LEED certified buildings often provide healthier work and living environments through improved indoor air quality and access to daylight. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, PTA makes Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation a priority.
Healthcare facilities require a thoughtful approach to balance long-term flexibility with current needs and budgets. Today's healthcare facilities are complex and critical assets to the communities they serve. The PTA Engineering team is well-versed with local and state codes, including requirements for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the U.S. Public Health Service.
PTA Engineering has been involved with Data Center designs for new construction, expansions and renovations. Expansions and renovations often include carefully planned phased upgrades of existing mechanical and electrical system infrastructures, to avoid the disruption of existing data processing operations.
PTA's central chiller/boiler plant experience extends across college/university campuses, industrial facilities and businesses. Our chiller plants are often integrated with central heating and/or cogeneration facilities, allowing PTA to understand the operational interplay between the chillers, boilers and cogeneration equipment.
