Dr. Porter was born in the small western Kansas town of Quinter, where her parents farmed and raised Registered Hereford cattle. Her family relocated to a farm near Concordia, Kansas in 1988, where they continued to raise Hereford cattle. Besides cattle, her family's farm also had horses, dogs, cats, various poultry, and pigs.

Dr. Porter graduated from Concordia High School in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University in 2001, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After graduation, she and her husband Bryce moved to the Waterville, KS area, where she worked at a mixed animal practice for 15 years.

I had an emergency and being affected by covid, i didn't have the money to pay up front. Unfortunately my dog didn't make it, but they let me make payment arrangements and took care of my little girl for me. I was able to get her cremated, thanks to Blue Valley, and they even took the extra step to get a pawprint plaque.

We were delighted to discover this clinic for the cat that recently adopted us. My dad was a small town vet, and I immediately felt right at home with these friendly folks. The services were rendered efficiently and competently and with great consideration for the comfort of our new pet. It was so nice to be able to take my dog in and have his nails trimmed. It only took a matter if minutes. Dr Porter and her staff are very very friendly and courteous. They always know your animal as well as you by name. I am so glad we are fortunate enough to have this in our community!

Nicole is an excellent vet. Her care is first rate, she is very thorough, and she’s pleasant and fun to work with. She’s gentle with my little dog, who’s a bit of a drama queen, and patient big dog, who gets grumpy with strangers. I’m happy we found her.

Dr. Porter has been the only one for my cats so I moved with her. She is caring , knowledgeable and her prices are great. She cares for your pets and keeps you informed. Her staff is great also. Glad she has her own office now.
