Knekoh Frug, our founder, has been practicing Yoga in one form or another for more than 35 years. It all began in 1983 when a moment of kismet brought her to a class at Louisiana State University simply titled "Movement." Incorporating an eclectic blend of Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong and more, this class introduced her to the discipline and beauty of profound energy work and set her on a lifelong journey.
We'll start learning over the Zoom platform. As soon as we are able, we'll gather in the open air in one of our local parks and hopes are high that soon thereafter, we'll be in Studio again. Knekoh Frug, C-IAYT, YTRx and Rob Zabel, MA, E-RYT team up again to offer the most comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training Program in the city.

I have been a student at Yoga Circle since 2018.
Each instructor has a unique style and skillset while maintaining the same standards and ethos threaded throughout every class.
I highly recommend trying and combining each instructor and the various classes provided at yoga circle for a wholistic practice.
The three very unique teachers that have distinguished styles are Knekoh, Jacqui, and Rob. I love all three and each teacher serves a precise purpose to my yoga practice. Knekoh for my mindful meditation, Jacqui for a concentration of the body, and Rob for spiritual awakening. The other instructors

I loved attending classes at Yoga Circle Downtown and was so excited that many of my favorite teachers have continued to teach streaming donation-based classes during the Covid-19 closures via zoom, Instagram, and Facebook live. The online classes have been so easy to adapt to (and I’m not great with technology...) and I’ve actually been taking more classes because of the ease and convenience of practicing from home. Knekoh, the studio owner, has helped me strengthen my practice in unexpected ways, hosting ashtanga, kundalini, and inversion workshops alongside flow and meditation classes. Rob

UPDATE FOR STREAMING CLASSES:
"It never gets easier. You just get stronger."
This is my third review for Yoga Circle. I keep reviewing this studio because quite frankly, Knekoh and her teachers are both excellent and constantly adapting and innovating. Following are some brief comments on the streaming classes and below is my original review.
Like you might be doing, I wondered, at first if live stream classes were for me. Taped exercise classes can be rote and I find it challenging to both be in the moment and actually learn new exercise. Why then, is a stream different? Here's what I've learned

Yoga Circle in DTLA has been my go-to place to recharge and heal. I think of it as my magic spot, my hideaway - the space itself feels really great! The instructors demonstrate care and connection with the students and it's evident that they're committed to their own yoga practice.
I've enjoyed classes from Stephen, Knekoh, Rob, and Jacqui - my favorite is Stephen's Yin Flow class as it's harder to find a good Yin class among the many faster-paced options out there.
Yoga Circle Downtown is the real deal! Go support this local studio, enjoy the experience, and heal yourself.

To justify venturing downtown for yoga, it has to be that good. After moving to Pasadena, I still kept coming back. The building has incredible character. The studio itself has high ceilings and a meditative gong. The teachers have contagious smiles. I'd highly recommend Jacqui's classes for the medium to advance student. She is always there to challenge and mentor. For beginners, I'd recommend Rob's Sunday morning class and Knekoh's Alignment and Flow.

For the past week, I've been attending several classes and this is honestly the best yoga studio that I've been to. Some thoughts:
- Thumbs up for the intimate environment and variety in classes instructional styles (I really appreciate how the instructors are keen on teaching different poses and providing tips).
- I really enjoyed the therapeutic yoga class for neck and shoulders.
- Knekoh is very welcoming and kind!
- The high ceilings and natural lighting from the skylight windows contribute to a great ambience!
- From a cleanliness standpoint, I also really appreciate that shoes

My friend recommended this studio. To be honest, I am brand new for this but I was really tired of the gym. That's why I wanted to try something new for me. Love this studio. A big variety of yoga. I chose class "Slow Flow". It was awesome !!! Also they have a good deal for new student - two weeks of unlimited yoga for 35$. Highly recommend.

Here's why I think you should come to Yoga circle: it is one of the best opportunities to start a DAILY practice with teachers who care. Daily meaning a sustainable investment- one that is both convenient and worthwhile.
I have been practicing yoga on-and-off since 2009. I must admit that like many on here, I often sign up for studios that offer the most daily classes and the cheapest price. So on first glance, yoga circle, which offers 3-4 daily classes, did not seem like a good fit. I signed up for the two-week introduction because the studio is very convenient to my work.

Enjoyed taking the noon class with Maureen, friendly and helped me keep up with the rest of the class and very gentle as well. I am sure if I go regularly I will be in much better shape and the end of was lovely and relaxing, just wish we spent more time in the quiet time of letting it all sink in. I had an amazing day after the yoga class. I took advantage of the new student special $32 for two weeks!
Maureen is amazing and I can't wait to go back... Now I just need to make time and let my mind and body take me.
My friend, Laura did a great job since she practices yoga almost every
