The Lighthouse helps individuals throughout the area make a smooth transition from homelessness, addiction, and crime to a life of purpose, faith, and love. We help you achieve this through our transitional housing and back-to-work program. Helping others is not only our vision, but also our mission.

We seek to help those who are struggling to pick themselves up and turn their lives around, choosing to make the right decisions, all through the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Contact our Christian ministry in Memphis, Tennessee, to learn more about our counseling for those in need.
Services
We will gather those in distress or trouble; Those who are in debt or poverty; and those who are discontented, or dissatisfied, and in need of direction. Our purpose for gathering them is to train disciples of Jesus Christ that will work fearlessly to take back inner cities of America.

We will establish missions, churches, and Christian businesses to minister to distressed people and spread the good news of Salvation, which is through Christ alone. There is a tendency for people to look upon others who are homeless, addicted to drugs and alcohol, or in and out of crime, and blame them for the circumstances they're in.
A small, independent church was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1986, and soon attracted Pastor Barry Bowie, who arrived there four years later, in 1990. His vision was to preach the Gospel of love and compassion toward those who were hurting. Soon after, in 1991, Pastor Bowie invited Gregory Newcomb to join him as an associate pastor.
Choose to live a life in the image of Christ with help from The Lighthouse, based in Memphis, Tennessee. We help individuals facing hard times restore their faith in God and get back on their feet so they can live productive and faith-centered lives. Through our transitional housing and back-to-work program, called the Nehemiah Program, this is possible.
Safe Harbor IOP is an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) that addresses addictions and other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision. It is used in conjunction with Safe Harbor's Residential facilities in order to offer optimal care for our clients. It is designed to establish support mechanisms, help with relapse management, and provide coping strategies.
