Dorota is a talented colorist and a skilled stylist. She's the reason my hair has been getting constant compliments for the last 12 years! The time I spend at DKN Salon is always delightful, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I am so grateful for Dorota! She has been faithful in cutting my hair for 14 years and does so with creativity beauty and love.
Although I do stop and smell the roses (Really, I do.) and take photographs - up until now, I hadn't stopped to paint them. But then my friend, Dorota, commissioned me to paint a picture for her - a rose. I consider 'Fragrant Beauty' a portrait of Dorota in the form of a flower. The passionate red, the layers of color, the flowing lines and the light shining through - Beauty.

Finding an excellent stylist with the skill to merge style, function and hair type is rare for those with curly hair. Even harder is getting a cut that has a strong shape that can endure growth without looking like a Chia Pet. Dorota takes her time, measures and checks to provide a look that gets compliments from complete strangers. I am amazed how often I am approached while waiting in line to be complimented on my curly hair! Little do they know! After moving from the area and trying several salons, I continue to return to DKN.

Two weeks ago I got my hair cut by Dorota, who spent about fifteen minutes on me and charged me fourty dollars, and I gave her a ten dollar tip. Even though I thought she didn't take enough time, I trusted all the positive feedback I got on her. When I got home and combed my hair out I realized the terrible cut I got. I called her right away to let her know that I was not happy and would like a reimbursement but after a short and unpleasant conversation she hung up on me. What a professional! Lovely intimate salon, you feel like you are in New Orleans when you enter. Darota, the owner is a wonderful stylist. She takes time to understand her clients, learn their lifestyles, and their needs, and she styles their hair accordingly. Great service. Very good cuts. I found her after my stylist of 25 years was no longer cutting hair. I was not expecting to feel really comfortable, and was pleasantly surprised. Dorota has been cutting and styling my hair for several years. She even did my hair for my wedding day. She uses great quality products for washing, styling and coloring. I really love when she colors my hair. I always get so many compliments.
She's also the only hair stylist that knows how to cut my bangs ( and so many have tried). I have fine hair and she knows just how to cut it to make it look fuller.
I highly recommend giving DKN salon a try if you're looking for a new stylist.

Just began going to this salon after my stylist of 25 years became ill. Hard to please when you have gone to someone for so long. Dorota is lovely, very skilled, great stylist, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Already made my second appointment and hope to make this my go to place for the next 25 years

You walk into the shop and are transported to a New Orleans boudoir, with dark orange walls, pillows, black lace over the lamps. Actually, it's styled after Carnival in Krakow, where proprietress Dorota Nosek hails from.
She is personable (she had home made coffee cake, and offered wine), friendly (we talked about our relatives in Europe), and does a great job. She smoothed out the straight edges left by my previous stylist. When I got home, my wife totally approved of the cut ($30).
If you're a male Boomer with highlights, it's hard to find a stylist that (a) doesn't treat

Dorota is the best colorist and stylist I have found since moving to the western burbs. She is a master at covering my increasing gray, always has tea and wine for me, and is so accomodating about my schedule. it's a great atmosphere because it's just her, so you always have her undivided attention. Plus, she is one of the sweetest people I know (and she really likes it if you bring her cookies!) Go see her. Go see her NOW!
