Rundberg Law
My goal is to help you focus on your family and the good that can come from your legal situation. I am highly responsive to clients' needs and approach each client and case with empathy and understanding. Regardless of what brings you to my office, I'll always work toward a legal solution that you can afford.

Before attending law school, I was the co-founder of an adoption agency and the general manager of a family-owned manufacturing company. I obtained my law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. Prior to founding Rundberg Law, LLC, I was the shareholder in a law firm for 20 years. My personal experience with divorce and adoption allows me to relate to what my clients are experiencing and more effectively help them.

When filing for divorce in Overland Park, Kansas and surrounding areas, including Missouri, it is important to understand the process. Divorce can be a stressful process for everyone involved, so it is important to have an experienced legal advocate on your side. The divorce process starts with filing a petition for divorce alleging grounds for divorce and the date of separation and requesting that the court grant you a divorce.
If you are not married to the parent of your child, you must establish paternity with a court order to enforce parental rights and obligations related to the child. Being listed on the birth certificate does not give the biological father any legal rights to a child. It only creates a presumption of paternity.
If you want to adopt a child, you probably have many questions about the process. An adoption may involve complex legal issues for the adoption to be successfully completed. An adoption proceeding may terminate the parental rights of a child's biological parents if the court finds that there is a sufficient basis.
Although a divorce or paternity action reflects the end of the parents' relationship, in most cases, the parents must continue to work together to raise their child or children. If you are facing a child custody case in Kansas or Missouri, it is important to understand how the process works and how terms regarding custody are used by judges and attorneys.
Do I Have to Physically Separate From My Spouse to file for Divorce/Dissolution of Marriage? In order for a dissolution of marriage action to be filed in Missouri, one of the spouses must have been a resident of the State of Missouri for at least 90 days prior to filing the dissolution petition. A dissolution action must be filed in the county in which one of the spouses resides.
