Limon y Sal has quickly become downtown Ventura's favorite authentic Mexican Restaurant. Wow!!! I've been to many Michelin star restaurants and all I can say it's about time we have some fine dining in Ventucky! The whole fish ceviche was incredible with the texture and flavors it was dynamic and delicious. The freshly sourced vegetables from a local farmer in Santa Paula were amazing. Every detail was thought out and the service was top notch... I've been there 3 times now and each time I leave intellectually stimulated by my taste buds. Do not waste ur well earned money elsewhere for subpar food. The chef even came out and greeted us o explain our amazing dishes

I'm going to make this short! We came here on a Friday night excited that they were finally open. The resultant is beautifully remodeled but some of the windows have been pretty much black out where you can no longer enjoy the beautiful views of Ventura.
The menu is very small with not such great choices, way over price n the flavor of the food is mediocre.
I order a skinny margarita for $15 n it came in what looked like a martini/shot glass, I drank it in 3 sips.
One of their specialty drinks, which there wasn't many, had burning sage in it!, it was stinking up the place. If you want

The new Cantina 31 is the top reservation area for Sal y Limon. It looks nice they did a good job renovating it. I like the new look. The drinks and food is way over priced. Not to mention the food I had was disgusting I'm not one to complain I paid for my food but had one bite and left it there that never happened in my life. I love food and have had there food downstairs it really good so I figured it would be the same nope not the case. I had a whole fish ceviche. It was raw fish with way too much salt. I still can't get the disgusting flavor out of my mouth it was that bad. Please remove that

I tried the aguachile and it was bomb!!! 🤤🤤🤤 It was DELICIOUS!!! The costumer service is good. I don’t know if they’re short stuffed, but they took forever to take our order and our waitress was nowhere to be found when we wanted to order another drink 😞 Other than that, I really like this place. I want to go back soon

Everything about this restaurant was spectacular for me! We had great service from our waitress and the food was actually authentic Mexican. The mole is excellent. The chile relleno was perfect and my plate even came with nopales! I loved this place and I thought this area of Ventura was also really fun at night to walk around. Great place!

Usually see this place at night when it's super crowded so I thought I'd try it out during the day. Went around 11:45 for the lunch specials. Sat at the outside patio-it was not too crowded great open space..Ordered nachos and a red burrito. Lunch specials are $12 and these two entrees were a decent size. Not impressed with either item. The food did not have a lot of flavor. But when I looked around a lot of people ordered tacos and other items that look a great. Did I order the wrong items? Service was okay and it took awhile for my waitress to come back to cash me out. I was trying to be patient

Horrible service, salsa was basically juice with couple pieces of onion and drinks tasted bad, poorly made. Drinks on the menu looked really nice....then we got them. Instead of being in nice glasses as the picture showed and as a restaurant should serve them, we got what you see in the photo...plastic cups. I asked the waitress if I had been invited to a picnic because I couldn't understand why any patron would receive a drink like this. She responded, "yeah, I know".
Never again. If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. We got up and walked out, as did the table next to us who also experienced

Omg where do i start, from the minute we walked in and got sat, our service was beyond our expectations. Adrian was iur server and her was very very attentive and very kind. The food was excellent !! Very tasteful and great presentations. My sister was visitng with her family and they fell in love. They slready have plans to invite their in laws to this restaurant. Highly recommend this to anyone that hits Downtown Ventura...weekends expect a wait cause this place is that good! Thank u Adrian!!

Great meal! Margaritas were delicious and made strong! Ordered one pineapple margarita that barely tasted of alcohol but you could certainly feel it, the second was a spicy margarita where I requested jalapenos be added to the cucumber margarita.
We ordered the guacamole to start which was good and fresh but definitely needed salt. For main entrees, I ordered the Plato de Carnitas and my friend ordered a plate with a variety of fish tacos and enchiladas. Both were delicious!
Great service as well and the vibe of this place is fantastic. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area.
