We began in September of 1969, serving our communities, and we appreciate our client families for their support. Thanks so much! The staff at Dermitt Funeral Home has been trained and licensed to assist with the funeral and/or cremation needs of our community for over 60 years. Edward Dermitt's motto was "Never say anything is good enough", that commitment is continuing today.

Services
Rev. Edward Dermitt started his funeral career when he worked for the Tom Ellis Funeral Home in Leitchfield. In August of 1969, Bro. Dermitt bought an existing house at 306 West Main St. in Leitchfield and remodeled this house into a funeral establishment. Bro. Dermitt and his two sons Jerry and Roger, began this partnership as the Dermitt Funeral Home.
Staff members of Dermitt Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Roger graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1970.
