Dr. Simon and his team are passionate about providing patient-first orthodontic treatment. This means that all decisions are made with the patient in mind and with the patient's input. Whether we are working with a child or an adult, we always make certain they feel important and empowered in their treatment.
I am truly living my childhood dream. Since the age of 6, my goal was to become an orthodontist, and I am proud to say that I love what I do! When I was young, I saw an interview with tennis great Ivan Lendl. He mentioned that he was too embarrassed by his teeth to smile. I have kept his comments in mind through the years as I have strived to not only straighten teeth but give people beautiful smiles that make them proud.
I started in orthodontics in 1998 while attending Dental Assisting school and have been in love ever since. When not at work creating beautiful smiles, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Leo, and our. Each year schools, community organizations and charities struggle with the budget cuts, increased demand and lack of available resources. At Simon Orthodontics, we know that strong communities require everyone to work together and we want to do our part. Over the last nine years, our office has donated thousands of dollars to various community programs.
Usually your dentist will inform you of the need to see an orthodontist if a problem exists. Top front teeth cover more than 25 percent of the bottom front teeth when the back teeth are biting together. A space exists between the top and bottom front teeth with the back teeth biting together. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children be seen by an orthodontist at the age of 7 years.
